    Overall, the place is good for short-stay solo travellers. I commend their room and service. It is well-cleaned everyday. The location is near the central station which makes it easy to navigate around Hamburg. The surrounding area is too busy. I agree that there are noises coming from the outside every night, however, it is not so disturbing (at least for me) from the third floor (Room ***, window side of the main street). There are people who smoke, take weeds/drugs, and are drunk. There are also beggars. However, they neither intimidate nor discriminate, as long as you do not mind them. Here are some of the things you should watch out for: 1. If you are travelling with kids, avoid this place. 2. If you are racist, sexist, homophobe, and conservative, you are not suitable in this place. 3. If you are solo, open-minded, mindful of the surrounding, and can pretend like a local, then you can thrive in this place. Some downside of the hotel: 1. One staff lacks relationality. I think he is scheduled every weekends (8:30am onwards). 2. Lacks communication on how to enter the hotel. I was unable to enter immediately because the door is locked and I do not know where the doorbell is. It camouflaged and I am unsure what button to press. 3. No elevator from the entrance going to the reception area. But there is an elevator from the E/1 level up to the fifth floor. What I really appreciate: 1. The staff who is always present at the start of the breakfast (7am-8am). He is tall and kinda good-looking. He was accommodating and approachable, willing to interact with English-speaking tourists. 2. The breakfast is adequate. The hotel cost is commendable because it already includes breakfast (buffet style). 3. The whole room... I love it! There is a room heater, shower heater, good bed and mattress, nice mirrors, cabinets, desks, hanging areas. Again, I recommend this hotel for the right type of travellers.

    Although the hotel building is old, the management keeps it in condition. The lift is very old and slow. Location of the hotel is very lucrative in all respect. Cleanliness is also good.
