Fantastic hotel and superb food. Will stay again

I had a fantastic stay at the Craven Heifer Inn. The staff were genuinely attentive, and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The restaurant was excellent—fresh, well-cooked dishes and prompt, service at every meal. I’d recommend the Craven Heifer Inn without hesitation.

We have stayed here before. The bedrooms are in different areas we were in room 10 in The lodge a ground floor room with hard to open patio doors and a small table. The room is a good size though, usual tea coffee facilities you would expect. A small table inside with two armchairs. Dressing gowns prividd were lovely and soft a nice touch compared to rough ones I have used elsewhere. Breakfast was between 8am to 10:00 we got there abouts 9:30 we were presented with a menu. No fruit juices, cereals or yoghurt on display. We asked for juice but its unclear if its available I spotted a couple with juices so we asked for apple. Breakfast menu has various options I cannot eat a full cooked breakfast so opted for bacon. Avocado with mushrooms on toast. It tasted lovely and I enjoyed it. We had dinner the night before I recommend booking as it was busy. Steak was tasty though hard to cut a little tough in places. My husband had the pork tomahawk, chips were not very pleasant. An enjoyable stay easy checkout.

The Craven Heiffer has a warm and welcoming atmosphere - staff were professional, friendly and approachable and the service was excellent! My hotel room was lovely and spacious, the bed was comfortable and I had great nights sleep. I will definitely plan a return journey … the bar staff were lovely and I’d like to thank Gemma in particular !

The craven is a great place to stay. Staff are friendly, helpful & the accommodation comfortable. The food in the restaurant is excellent with a good range for all tastes and the breakfast is first class. You won’t be disappointed.

This was the best stay we have had in a long time the staff are brilliant room excellent very clean and comfortable breakfast full English included was excellent can't fault the place at all

The whole experience from booking in, and service by all the staff was first class if i could give 15 out of 10 i would Food was excellent. And the prices for food and drink where very good i would recommend this hotel

Lovely Inn with attentive staff, beautiful accommodation and good food… reasonably priced

Accomodation excellent, cleanliness excellent, well appointed and furnished with 'taste'. Food was excellent and wide choice available, bar and waiting staff were efficient,attentive and personable. My only adverse comment would be the relative positions of the accomodation block(s) and the pub/restaurant, umbrellas are provided for the journey, should it be raining, even during good weather, there are steps to negotiate and you leave a warm building experience outdoor temperatures then enter another warm building.

Excellent stay in midst of stunning countryside and so many places to visit. Need a car to get out and about. Hotel first class in every way. Cook to order breakfasts but staff very flexible in accommodating options which was perfect.

What a beautiful place and great value for money. The accommodation is fresh and spotless, our evening meal was great and the full English breakfast is fabulous. Will definitely go again.

Excellent stay at The Craven Heifer…Room was really nice and the breakfast was delicious. Only stayed for one night as was attending a wedding but would definitely recommend the inn for anyone staying in the area
