Dersaadet Hotel - Special Class

Great hotel in really convenient location. The customer service takes them to another level, from the welcome tea on arrival to the surprise extras (for birthday) and gifts on departure, truly a wonderful experience.

I highly recommend staying at the Dersaadet Hotel. It offers an incredibly convenient location just behind the Blue Mosque, along with charming rooms that transport you back in time while remaining spotless and fully functional. On top of that, it has one of the friendliest receptions I’ve ever experienced in any hotel. Staying there felt a bit like visiting enthusiastic distant relatives: I was welcomed with hot tea and a Turkish delight on a very cold and snowy day, which alone made my day. A small welcome gift in the room was also a nice touch. I didn’t ask, but it felt like a family-run business—everyone working at the hotel was warm and friendly, both with guests and with each other, creating a genuinely positive atmosphere. All of this was topped off the next morning by a truly delicious Turkish breakfast on the rooftop. I would definitely not hesitate to return the next time I’m in Istanbul.

Great location, super courteous staff, tasty and varied breakfast buffet with a beautiful view on the terrace! Also very tasteful decor. Would definitely stay there again!

Dersaadet hotel is a minute walk from the main tourist area of Istanbul yet is in a local, colorful neighborhood . A lovely old world atmosphere permeates the relaxing common area. Service throughout the property is impeccable. We stayed in the sultan’s suite which boasts a sweeping view of the water all the way to Asia. The same view can be enjoyed from the breakfast room / bar all day or night. Breakfast was very good. We visited in early March, so it was too chilly to eat on the balcony but the plants provided a welcoming atmosphere. Our room was spacious with a relaxing seating area plus a table and chairs and refrigerator. A single bed is in a small area by the balcony around a corner providing a little privacy for a third guest. The only negatives are a needed wall repair by that single bed and some drapery repair where the fabric has detached from the rods. Both issues will probably be addressed before your visit. I recommend the Dersaadet hotel.
