Was a good stay. We love staying here! Although there was a fire issue in the hotel and the fire alarms went off for about an hour and a half in the middle of the night, not something the hotel ca help, they made it right. Will definitely stay here again!

A sudden fire alarm startled us, and we rushed out after a quick shower. The loud alarm continued to sound without any message until we called the front desk. We later received a message instructing us to wait safely in our room, but we had to endure the bitter cold in the lobby with our children for two hours. We had originally planned to stay two nights, but moved to another place after just one night. The room condition(very clean windows) and view are excellent. However, we would appreciate it if the overall system safety protocols could be reviewed again.

Horrible customer service. They over charged my card and im still waiting for the rest of my money on my card. No apology or anything from management. They gave us wrong room keys twice. The check in person was rude. We drove 8hrs with the kids to have a good time and there were so many issues it just ruined it for us.

Suite was perfect with new furniture incluindo a table and two seats, nice square footage. TV was Room service lady was very attentive and answered us fast. Front desk personnel was responsive.

This was the worst stay of our entire trip, the noise in this place from people partying in the hallways banging on doors and just arguing in the corridors kept us awake most of our three nights stay. We had to call Security a number of times each night. These people should’ve been asked to leave the hotel. The room itself was not attended to correctly. We had no shower gel or conditioner in the bathroom, the bed sheets were not tucked in, instead just laid over the bed. I’ve complained to Marriott but they don’t care. Four separate cars were broken into on New Year’s Eve while the Valets were meant to be keeping an eye on them. Appalling!

Hotel was very clean. Staff was friendly. Location at the bottom of Clifton Hill is wonderful. Hotel is linked inside to shops, activities, and restaurants, which means you don’t have to walk outside in bad weather to have something to do.

I booked a one-queen room for a work conference and ran into a serious issue right away: the room had constant, loud mechanical noise. This wasn’t normal HVAC cycling — it was nonstop, day and night — and I barely slept the first night. When I asked the front desk about switching rooms, I was surprised to learn they were already aware of the problem. I was told that all one-queen rooms (about 40 of them) have the same issue and the only way around it would be to upgrade to a different room type, which wasn’t possible since my stay was company-paid. It would be helpful if the hotel and Hotels.com clearly mentioned this in the room description so guests can avoid it if they’re sensitive to noise. I bought earplugs, which helped slightly, but after four nights I still averaged only 4–5 hours of sleep. That part of the stay was rough. Outside of the noise problem, the hotel itself is solid — good amenities, a vibrant lobby, and a small but decent gym. The staff were polite enough, but they didn’t seem particularly motivated to help given the situation. Overall, the hotel has potential, but the one-queen rooms need a clear warning or a fix.
