The staff are nice and helpful. The location is good. The only downside is the noise from midnight to early morning.

Out of 6 accommodations in this road trip, Seahorse Motel ranks high in terms of satisfaction on Value for money, Location, Cleanliness, Staff, Facilities. Will consider to stay again if there is another trip to Ballarat.
Special remarks: Includes breakfast for relatively affordable adder - indeed value for money. Awesome location - walking distance to nearest mall and places of interest for photo-taking and sightseeing in Ballarat. A red patch of hanging plant gives great vibes about autumn-winter feel.

We booked the Deluxe King room over the long weekend King's Birthday. Considering the price we paid, we weren't expecting luxury. Unfortunately, we got Room 59. The only light that worked was the bright overhead flourescent white light. We didn't get any bedside tables. There were wall lights that didn't work. Not did the light above the mirror. It was uncomfortable relaxing in the evening with that "hospital" overhead light but we had no choice. There is a floor lamp at the corner that is very dim.
The mattress was too firm. We woke up with backaches in the morning. Anyway, it'd fair enough with the cheap price.
Bathroom is small but clean. Need some updates. But for the price, again it's fair enough..
Location is excellent. Lots of restaurants nearby with city location.
For a short stay, it's ok. I wouldn't do it for longer than 2 days.
