    Lovely old historic buildings and hotel. Food let it down and very noisy with a bunch of screaming children.

    Loved this hotel and the history around every corner. Rooms have pretty simple facilities but comfortable. The atrium restaurant was lovely for breakfast (à la carte) and the hotel was so close to everything we wanted to see and places we wanted to eat (and the Palace Regent cinema which is another historic landmark). I think the pokies room cheapens the atmosphere but loved the old lift with its manual doors and the comfortables nooks to sit and have a drink around the ground floor

    Room was really beautiful but too cold. Better for couples not for family with toddlers.

    Hotel was okay. Rooms dated as expected with a hotel of its age which adds to the character but big issue was with staff. I paid in full before arriving then found out while having breakfast after checkout that they charged me again at checkout. I had to go back and tell them and after a bit of discussion they pricessed the refund but I was told the payment could take a few days to be back in my account which left me with no money to fill up the rental car I was in. Staff weren't sympathetic at all and was quite rude. Turned a nice holiday into a disaster and I was very stressed.
