They are not very accommodating for team events or large bookings. We generally have a team dinner/gathering at every hotel we go to. Here, we were not allowed to bring snacks and drinks for our teams and use the public facilities even though they're huge. They forced us to either use their caterers at about $50 per person or not have any get together.

Beautiful setting...pool area and hot tub were very nice. Nice lobby. Check in was a little backed up and some of the landscaping around the room patios could be fixed up.

Check in was the worst experience I’ve ever encountered. Long lines, 45 minute wait, of very unhappy people trying to check into their rooms and the hotel had nothing available. We arrived at 1 pm and we were not provided a room until 6 pm. Consistent lies that our room would be available soon. Everyone I talked to in line was very disappointed as the evening was NYE. Luckily, the room we got was better than expected. But they need to prepare better for a holiday weekend.

Despite a modern glow up, the hotel felt old. This was most true in bathroom. Dirty/moldy. Stayed 3 nights and never has our room cleaned because housekeeping didn’t arrive for cleaning until after 5pm each day. Very strange.

This hotel is getting tired. Room door falling off, lights that didn't work, heater didn't work, plug sockets covered by bed frame. Food in the restaurant was good though and the pool area was OK too.

The front desk person or manager, Amelia, was incredibly rude. I was exhausted with one sleeping child and another sleepy child checking in late. She took her time with the customer in front without regard for others in line. When she got to us, she immediately turned to the other staff person to tell him something. When I told her that we would appreciate streamlining the check in process, she sneered that she needed to train. Oddly, I didn’t see her training when she was checking in the people before and taking a long time. But she felt the need to slow our process to “train.” Subsequently, she was cold and clearly rude. Even when I went outside, I felt someone looking. I looked inside and saw her staring at me and my small child as we tried to figure out how to get our luggage and my sleeping child into the room. Definitely one of the most uncomfortable check in experiences I have had in a very long time, if ever. Amelia can possibly train in other areas, but should not train in hospitality. Treating favored customers with warmth but those that are going through a tough moment with clear rudeness and absolute thoughtlessness is not good hospitality overall. I know the employee market is tough these days and Amelia will likely remain in her position without performance guidance. I provided this feedback only upon request.

I truly expected to enjoy my stay at this hotel, but it turned out to be one of the most disappointing experiences. The first room I was given had blood on the door and a broken bolt lock completely unacceptable and unsafe. I immediately contacted the front desk, sent them photos, and told them I didn’t feel comfortable staying in that room. After a long drive, the last thing anyone wants to do is unload all their belongings only to pack them back up again because the room is unsafe. They moved me to another room, but the problems continued. The 2nd room was dirty, had a dead spider on the wall, another non-functioning lock, and even a wasp the size of my hand flying around. The walls were stained, and there was only one set of towels. I called guest services around 15 times,both from the room and my cell phone,with no answer. I had to walk to the front desk myself to ask for towels, only to receive one that had a large dirty stain on it. It’s clear the hotel prioritizes appearance only from the outside. The lobby and entrance look decent, but the rooms are poorly maintained and neglected. Even the “welcome” note from the manager in the room was dirty, which just made the entire experience feel careless and unprofessional. The toilet paper roll wasn’t even replaced properly,it looked reused from a previous guest. This hotel needs serious upgrades, proper cleaning, and better management. I will not be returning and would strongly advise others to reconsider before booking.

After reading all of the reviews and trying to figure out why this resort has a lower rating , i booked the stay and was able to justify the low rating. Property grounds are great as far as being a large resort near downtown and overall presence, but staying few hours at the hotel i immediately noticed and realized why the rating is lower; The room wasnt ready at 4pm as guranteed Shower water is barely warm Bar hours are limited Service is not great Property is outdated Would not come back

We had a wonderful stay at the Riviera Resort. The food was delicious and service was great. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The pool area is awesome. Lots of places to lounge and has a great vibe. Nice pool bar for cocktails with great staff.

The front lobby staff was very nice and the lobby itself is bright and new looking. We stayed on the first floor of building 4 (room 4124 I believe) and everything was old, outdated, and a little run down. The room was musty and also run down. There were 2 outlets in the room, one in the middle of the 2 beds where the lamp was, and another by the table. The one by the table was old and loose so both sockets didn't hold my charging block. I had to use the outlet in the bathroom while my husband used the one by the lamp. There was also no hand soap in the bathroom. It was a quick stay and we got in late at night so we didn't have the energy to contact the front desk. But the photos online are very misleading, at least for the room we stayed in. There seems to be no soundproofing either - the people above us were up late walking around and talking on the balcony, which is their perogative, but we could hear everything and had trouble sleeping because of it. I wouldn't stay here again given the price point.
