The room was just okay and honestly a little over priced. The toilet was the slowest flushing ever, shower would t get very hot water. The AC was not keeping up and had to sleep with the door open. The light switches wouldn't work. Staff was friendly though.

This property is unkept and understaffed. Our room was filthy. I went to the front desk to ask for a room change and showed them photos. The front desk agent was rude and unapologetic. The second room was just as dirty. The room was missing bedding, I requested it be brought to the room. 5 hours later we still had not received the bedding. I had to go down to the front desk and request it again, at 9:30pm. The agent said it would be brought up “in like 10 minutes”. 30 minutes later it still had not arrived, at which time I went to the front desk for the 3rd time and asked for the bedding to be handed to me. The elevator was broken and half of the rooms are located outside like a motel. This is not your typical Hyatt.

The receptionist was not very helpful. Did not show us where our room was or where other amenities around the hotel like the pool, or the bar are. The hotel has a worn out and aged look, especially the carpet, the walls, the doors and the furniture. In the bathroom the faucet was loose and leaked. The corners were dirty. Most of the electrical outlets’ plates were loose and very difficult to plug in your phone to charge. The sliding door of the balcony didn’t have a door handle. There was a sock from the prior guest under the couch, which we could easily see. The corners and behind the furniture was dirty. The walls and furniture had visible wear and damage. Over all would not stay there again.

The room was ok, AC unit was very hard to use because it wasn’t secured to the wall and buttons were stuck. The TV was not working for me initially, I had to tap the box a couple times. Not what you typically expect from a Hyatt.

We had a major plumbing issue. When waking up, the toilet was making noise; shortly after flushing, we experienced a major overflow. We were exposed to hazardous materials and were moved. We were not compensated, provided any refund, or acknowledged. The staff said this is a regular occurrence at this location. This is dangerous and disgusting.

Our stay at Hyatt Hotel was average at best. We have stayed at other hotels in PS for less, offering free breakfast and felt more comfortable in those hotels. Three issues we would like to bring up, besides the cost. 1. We were in a room across the street from the bar that kept us up most of the night with rowdiness and as elderly citizens, the staff should have known to place us on the other side of the hotel. It was not at full capacity. 2. There were obviously bed bugs as I was bitten 6 times in both my legs. Very disappointed! I insisted staff change the sheets which they did. 3. Parking, $30 a night and destination fee of $20 A DAY is really unnecessary and NOT likely to attract us to the Hyatt again. Disappointed to celebrate our 50 wedding anniversary at this hotel with these issues!

The staff was nice! That’s it! The rooms we had , were so old & not well kept! I think this place hasn’t been remodeled since the 70’s!!! The sofa was dirty , the walls banged up!! I had mixed feelings about my stay. Pros: The rooms are very spacious, and the location is great. Cons: The hotel is quite old, and the room had an unpleasant smell. The balcony was very dirty. I also experienced very poor service at the bar, which really affected my overall experience.

The counter in the bathroom had gunk on it when we checked in. Other than that it was clean, quiet and safe location. Parking was safe and allowed for easy in/out access. Great location when you’re in Palm Springs! If you’re low maintenance, this is a good option for a weekend getaway.

I have stayed at this Hyatt for over 20 years, occasionally for business and more often as a tourist. Unfortunately, things have slowly declined. The rooms no longer offer safes. The room didn't have a small pad of paper and pen. The carpets are becoming worn. The shower needs repair due to a slow leak. On the third day, there was no maid service available to make up the room despite two separate requests. Regardless, the staff is very nice and otherwise helpful. After 20+ years, though, I think this hotel needs a serious upgrade and I may check out other venues in the meantime.
