Cosy, private and spotless

Lovely little private lodge, clean and cosy great for a night or two away from it all

Only minor downside was no shower toiletries, only 3 coffee pods and 3 milks😬 believe the latter were an oversight

Very clean, secure and welcoming, and with a very comfortable bed and soft ( yay!) pillows. Set in beautiful gardens. Host was excellent.

Wonderful stay in a peaceful location

Beautiful a d stylish accommodation set in a peaceful secluded orchard location. Bed was super comfy and all fixtures, fittings etc were very high quality. We had a lovely stay. Sad it was only oner night. Everyone says they will be back in reviews of this nature,but we definitely will be and to stay longer. Just so relaxing. Dave and his son were very friendly and welcoming to their beautiful property.

Nothing. Maybe a smashelf in the shower to put shower gel etc. But not a grumble - it would just be helpful.

The hosts were very attentive, any problems and they were there instantly. A real home from home while working away. The little dog was the cutiest and was very friendly, I loved having my daily welcoming.

A truly peaceful stay with an amazing host — would definitely come back.

We absolutely loved our stay. I chose this place because we wanted somewhere peaceful and quiet, and it delivered exactly that. Dave, the host, was incredibly kind and helpful — he even arranged a taxi for us to attend our event at the registry office, which arrived right on time. The accommodation was spotless, cosy, and surrounded by a calm atmosphere. Dave’s two dogs are the sweetest, and made the stay even more special. It was an amazing and relaxing experience.

A perfect stay in every way!

Apple Tree Lodge was truly perfect! The lodge was absolutely stunning, so beautiful both inside and the grounds outside too. It felt so private and it had absolutely everything we needed. A beautiful kitchen area with everything we needed and more. Every detail was thought of and the quality exceptional. We were particularly pleased there was a proper coffee maker which we made use of in the morning and it was delicious! There was a beautiful and comfortable sofa and we had a really lovely evening in the lodge where we felt so relaxed in beautiful surroundings. The bed was also exceptionally comfortable with top quality bedding and we had the best night’s sleep! There was also a lovely spacious shower and we both enjoyed a hot, powerful shower in the morning. Honestly, everything was perfect. All so well cared for and exceptionally clean. The quality of everything in the lodge was amazing and the attention to detail made it a truly perfect space. We loved it and wished we could have stayed longer but it was only a stop off on a long journey home to Durham from West Cornwall. We very much hope to do the same next year though and there is no question that we’d choose Apple Tree Lodge again as we couldn’t have asked for more. Also, Dave checked us in when we arrived and showed us around. He was so helpful and friendly and we felt so welcome and at home right from the start. I can’t recommend Apple Tree Lodge highly enough. Absolutely phenomenal and made the last night of a wonderful holiday in the south west truly perfect! Thank you so much!

Idyllic and stylish and restful

Stylish and spotless and compact, Apple Tree Lodge was perfect for our two-day stay. The best thing was the sense of being wholly surrounded by nature and getting up to the sound of birds. The garden is just spectacular. Dave, the host, was super friendly and directed us to a wonderful Indian restaurant Mattancherry.

Everything was good. The only thing worth considering is slightly moving the sofa so that someone sitting on it can watch not just TV but the trees and birds outside which are the main draw of the room.

A wonderful property at the end of the hosts garden. Very secluded allowing total privacy. The Lodge itself was immaculate with everything you needed for a short stay. Bed super comfortable and the shower pressure excellent.. Dave and Danusha and their son Ollie made us feel very welcome. We will definitely be back. Thank you Dave.

Your own little woodland retreat

The lodge is at the bottom of a large garden, the gardens are amazing, luke a Japanese garden. Mature trees and pathways offer total privacy, you really feel like you are in your own little woodland tetreat.

Loved it!

No complaints at all! The lodge is immaculately done, very cosy and is in a great location (Just a short walk to Taunton town centre). Dave is an absolute gent also, being there to greet us and show us around the lodge and its amenities. I have no doubt we will return 👍

Brilliant

The whole stay was lovely! Dave and his son greeted us upon arrival and were so welcoming and friendly! The place was spotless and had everything you could need. The bed was also super comfy! Also couldn’t thank Dave enough, he went above and beyond being such a great host when my car needed jump starting the next morning oops! He helped with no hesitation. Can’t thank and recommend them enough. Will definitely be back soon!

Relaxed, & felt at ease, away from the City and you can work in peace with a work laptop if needed.

Microwave, Shop, Post Office. The building is set back, in a large country garden. Freedom and peacefull. Stress frèe, and safe.

I didnt check for anything missing. Only I am disabled, with severe spinal injury, and cant bend to cook. I have a convector open, to compensate.
