Purtroppo non è colpa degli host ma attorno alla casa ci sono molti cantieri. Per cui appena arrivati non è stato uno spettacolo entusiasmante 😅.

Sal is a small island and Santa Maria is basically a strip serving the tourist trade. Everything is within walking distance. The sea is about 300m away but the shore is rocky and one has to walk a few more hundred meters to find the sandy beach. The host Leila organised my airport transport by taxi and met me on the first day.

The apartment block is at the eastern on a strip where the paved road ends and dirt roads begin. There are a lot of half built apartments under construction with all the accompanying noise between 8.30 and 5pm. If you are out and about, it's not a problem. Forget a siesta. When I arrived, payment was required by Revolut.
