Compass Cove Resort, Unit 921, 3 Bedroom, 2 Bath, Direct Oceanfront

The room was everything expected after many different stays at myrtle beach. Very friendly place, nice tiki bar. Just the right amount of beds, bathrooms both sport full-size baths and are spacious. Owner was very friendly and easy to deal with.

The no smoking on the balcony rule should be advertised with the room i was always able to do this at all other myrtle beach hotels, and this hotel has one small smoking area very far from the room this was the only inconvenience of the trip but it hit hard. If your not a smoker this is your hotel for me it was a bit too much walking for a smoke.

We have stayed in this resort a couple different times now over the last several years. The kids love the pools! We love the balcony and that it feels like a home away from home. We packed everything and the kitchen sink and realized we made a mistake. Everything was already here waiting. Crockpot, pots, pans, dishes (the works), sand toys for the kids, a variety of “little things” that made it great. I love that people can leave stuff here for the next users to borrow. (Such as sand toys for the kids, a pack n play). I really have no complaints at all for our 8 day stay! The beds are comfy, the rooms are not exactly sound proof but we barely noticed if we even had neighbors. For being on the 9th floor I was amazed at the shower… not so much the water pressure but the volume of water that came out! It was nice to park in the garage and just go to our room. No waiting in a long line to get checked in or any of that first day frustration! Just rode the elevator up and punched the number in the door. One small step that much more pleasant than waiting in a 1/4 mile long line of other frustrated guests trying to get checked in. Again, we had been here multiple times before so we knew where to go.

The other patrons smoking the devils lettuce at all hours. Didn’t matter what time we sat on the balcony, it was all we could smell. To each their own. I didn’t like that the kids did not have use of the water slides at the pool for insurance purposes. Didn’t realize we were renting off of an individual instead of the resort. We made do though without the slides, would have been nice to know up front. The owners were wonderful to deal with though so it made up for the water slide situation! Would absolutely stay again without hesitation.

Location, cleanliness oF condo unit!!, amenities of kitchen, extra towels for beach use. Loved the shuffleboard and the ice cream truck (even with Christmas music!!!)

It was so crowded in the area of the pools and lazy river...not condo's fault!! We will change our week to September in the future, when most children are in school....Don't get me wrong, I LOVE children...just noisy for me and husband with hearing problems! Everyone was friendly and polite (except a couple of drunks in the pool closest to the shuffleboard!)
