Good value stay in well appointed apartment

Very nicely decorated , clean , spacious bedroom , cosy snug , kitchen adequate for all our needs , comfortable bed and easy access arrangements. Very close to seafront. Sensibly priced and good contact from host. Streaming available on TV.

No issues but if we had to be picky , my partner found the chairs uncomfortable and street parking was very tight. As others have said , some of the other properties on the road appeared scruffy but this is more of a reflection on UK seaside towns in general.

The accommodation appeared relatively clean and well kept, and the interior looked as described in the photos.

Although clean inside, the property was not suitable for a weekend stay as the listing implied. It would be more appropriate for a contractor working away, rather than guests expecting a comfortable break. The smell of stale and fresh cigarette smoke throughout the accommodation was unbearable and completely different from what was shown or described online. The surrounding area felt worrying and intimidating to walk through after dark, which added to our discomfort. Parking was also a major issue — it is on-street only, difficult to find, and not an area where you feel comfortable leaving your car or van out of sight. These factors, combined with my partner becoming unwell from the fumes and our dogs being unsettled, meant we had no choice but to leave shortly after arriving.

Overall we had a good stay, but the bed for us let it down.

Accommodation had a good location and facilities were very good. Great kitchen facilities , bathroom and a snug with TV. Also bedroom had its own TV so entertainment was good. Very close to the beach front. Overall was spacious and clean.

The bed mattress and pillows were on the hard side and we found sleeping difficult, which was a shame. The bedroom is big enough for a King size bed so you might consider to upgrade. The view from the kitchen, at the back of the property wasn’t great, some facing properties with junk and rubbish in their gardens, but this is not your fault.

Nice looking inside but very noisy and in a horrible area

The hosts were very friendly and provided plenty of information. The flat we were in was a good size, with quite chic decor and generally very clean (the fridge in particular was spotless).

The view from the bedroom was unbelievably horrible. The flats are in an old-style terrace, backing on to more of the same, so you look out over a load of back yards - most of which are untidy at best, and the one opposite is a junkyard full of rubbish (including a couple of scrap cars). The one next door contains a mountain of broken up wooden pallets. The area feels rough enough from the street (I didn't feel safe walking to the nearby corner shop at night, and we were worried about our car) but the view to the rear really does make you wonder what you've let yourself in for. We couldn't get the heating to work (turn the digital dial to set the temperature, it says yes then nothing happens). One of the kitchen cupboards had some extremely rotten vegetables in it. There doesn't seem to be any noise insulation at all - we were treated to the sound of people moving around upstairs/downstairs, going to the toilet in the night, opening and closing doors etc, all of which was so loud it was like it was in our own flat. And we were kept awake by a constant beeping from the stairwell which sounded like a smoke alarm asking for a new battery - unbelievably, this was actually louder in our bedroom than in the stairwell itself.

We had a slight problem parking but we do have a MWB transit . 5m long , a family car may not have this problem.

Would have been perfect but for the heating issue.

The heating didn't work. I reported this and was told it was due to a fault with the wi-fi connection to the thermostat but it wasn't fixed until after I left.

Absolutely gorgeous, and the pictures don't show how big the bedroom is ♥️ Everything was done to a really high standard Even snug room to chill or eat in Shower was perfect Not one bad thing to say, met owners absolutely lovely people and really helpful 😀😀😀
