Very nicely decorated , clean , spacious bedroom , cosy snug , kitchen adequate for all our needs , comfortable bed and easy access arrangements. Very close to seafront. Sensibly priced and good contact from host. Streaming available on TV.
No issues but if we had to be picky , my partner found the chairs uncomfortable and street parking was very tight. As others have said , some of the other properties on the road appeared scruffy but this is more of a reflection on UK seaside towns in general.

The hosts were very friendly and provided plenty of information. The flat we were in was a good size, with quite chic decor and generally very clean (the fridge in particular was spotless).
The view from the bedroom was unbelievably horrible. The flats are in an old-style terrace, backing on to more of the same, so you look out over a load of back yards - most of which are untidy at best, and the one opposite is a junkyard full of rubbish (including a couple of scrap cars). The one next door contains a mountain of broken up wooden pallets. The area feels rough enough from the street (I didn't feel safe walking to the nearby corner shop at night, and we were worried about our car) but the view to the rear really does make you wonder what you've let yourself in for.
We couldn't get the heating to work (turn the digital dial to set the temperature, it says yes then nothing happens). One of the kitchen cupboards had some extremely rotten vegetables in it. There doesn't seem to be any noise insulation at all - we were treated to the sound of people moving around upstairs/downstairs, going to the toilet in the night, opening and closing doors etc, all of which was so loud it was like it was in our own flat. And we were kept awake by a constant beeping from the stairwell which sounded like a smoke alarm asking for a new battery - unbelievably, this was actually louder in our bedroom than in the stairwell itself.
