The apartment was spacious, clean and just right for my son and me.

The stairs upto apartment 2 that we stay are very steep and quite narrow

The location could not have been better with amazing views over the bay to the Cumbrian mountains. We saw two beautiful sunsets. The rooms were spacious and light with windows on two sides and we were in Flat 1, which has a balcony, so no need to go and sit outside bars at night. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could need for cooking and cleaning.

The curtains in the front room (so one of the bedrooms if you're staying with more than two people) did not block out any light, so it was fully light in there when the sun came up. Also there was a wheelie bin in the entrance hall, which smelled pretty bad and gave a poor impression, even though it didn't affect our apartment, which was spotless.

The flat was quiet and I do appreciate to have been allowed a late check out. They tried somehow to sort out some issues even though not to expected standards.

First of all my jaw dropped when I saw such a narrow spiral staircase, I really struggled carrying my suitcase up to the second floor due to my delicate bones, and everytime going in or out. I wasn't made aware about this drawback prior to booking or arrival.I wasn't expecting not to be able to use the freezer which should have been defrosted, or a dirty oven either. Kitchenware scarce and not in the best clean condition. No mattress protector on bed at all, just a sheet. The ironing board had no protector either. The wardrobe was full with extra duvets for the sofa bed and the drawer with the pillows. A sofa blanket had two large stains. I used another dark one though no fresh smell.
