Lighthouse view- POOL VILLA

The house is in a very quiet town (in June). It’s very spacious with 3 large bedrooms on the first floor with one shared bathroom between two rooms and one bedroom with bathroom. On the ground floor you have dining room, TV room, kitchen and toilet. The BBQ area is amazing with fire pit sitting space. Swimming pool is very nice and clean. Usually there is no problem with parking but during school hours it’s a bit more challenging.

Our 10-night stay was enjoyable and we liked the house, but we felt the property is being slightly neglected. For €200 a night, a few things really should be addressed: Safety Hazards: The ladder into the swimming pool is very loose. More importantly, there is no fence around the pool, which sits above a 3–4 meter drop down to the street. This makes it quite stressful if you are supervising younger children. It’s perfect for adults though. Water/Damp Issues: There are broken roof tiles causing leaks when it rains, overpainted damp patches that you can still smell, and mould in the showers. Location/Views: The house shares a wall with a primary school (meaning weekdays from 9am-6pm can be noisy and lack privacy). The view from the pool is also dominated by a ruined house across the street(nothing can be done about that by the owner), and the outdoor area lacks plants. It’s a nice house with great potential, it just needs some proper maintenance to justify the price tag.

We tried to reach out to the owner for some assistance and we got no response during our stay.

The house is very near the beach, the famous natural swimming pool! The house swimming pool was also very clean (but it was too cold to use). The BBQ area is very well equipped in the outside house. The beds are comfortable.

We had to ring the owner to get the check-in information of the house on the day of arrival. This was unusual. Then a lizard on the inside curtain of the living room welcomed us to the house. But the worst was the many ants in the kitchen. We had to clean the kitchen before use but the ants continued to come out from somewhere. We stayed only two nights here but the ants were very annoying - we had to keep them out of our things.
