I can’t recommend this place enough. We’ve stayed in quite a few rentals, but this one is on another level. The house is actually insane, it’s super spacious and feels much bigger than the photos suggest. It’s also incredibly well-equipped; we had everything we needed and more. The location is the real winner, though: The Lava Pools: Literally a 3-minute walk. The Supermarket: Only 2 minutes away. It was such a lifesaver for snacks and drinks. The supermarket has a takeout section with excellent, cheap food. We ended up grabbing lunch there a couple of times and eating back at the villa to enjoy the space. If you’re looking for a spot in Porto Moniz, stop searching and just stay here. We’re already trying to figure out when we can come back!

Everything was petfect

Porto Moniz is good for 1, maximum of 2 days. It is good to visit, but not stay. But the villa is spacious and good for adults. For kids, it is a lot of danger, but it is a good place to stay.

Porto Moniz is a tourist spot, so every day the big buses full of people come to the piscinas and if you want to swim there, you have to wait in the big queue. And there is no possibility to swim in the open sea, just in piscinas. There are also piscinas for free, but it is also full of people. They are coming there and back... It is a good place to visit, but not for staying. You are all the time in a mass of tourists and no relax, because the big buses still coming. Absolutely no private, also because of the apartment on the opposite street if we sit in the garden and they look at us. Also we had a problem with the owner. It was my mistake. I thought we book all-villa, but there is pay for a person. So 1 night was with us my mum because of the late flight and we also had to take our 2 years child with us. Of course, we told it to the nice lady, who made the checkout. After the owner wrote us, he wants 25 euros per each for every night. I was a little bit in bad mood, 25 euro per night per child 2 years... But I checked in Booking and it was right, child from 2 years has to pay. Finally, he wrote us he wants only 25 euros per my mum night, not for the child. But the day after, he wrote, he wants 75 euro per my mum. She was not there, the lady from check-in had to control it. It was unpleasant. You are on holiday, you don´t want to be controlled if somebody stays in your villa or no.... After the lady told us we can leave the luggage in the garage 1 hour extra after check out and after told us, the owner is very furious because of it... It was an unpleasant stay because of the arrogant behavior. We made the mistake, we told we will pay the extra money, but it was we can solve it in a more friendly way.
