The property was ideal for our 2 day stay in Honfleur. A short walk from the town centre with all its restaurants, bars and shops, and a shorter walk to free parking at the sizeable Naturospace carpark. The property was nicely presented, was clean (with proviso - see below) and we liked the spacious open-plan kitchen/living room on the ground floor. The two patio areas, both to the rear of the property were nice places to sit when the sun is shining. The bedrooms were spacious, and the beds were comfortable. The first floor bedroom has access to a generously sized bathroom (with both bath and shower), and the two second floor bedroom shared a compact shower room and separate toilet.

Not really a dislike, but the staircase is quite steep and narrow, and might be a challenge to those who are less mobile. The one thing we didn't like was the strange odour in the living area. Initially we thought the smell was as the result of the property having been vacant for a short time and just needed to be aired, however, the smell didn't get any better over our short stay. We couldn't pinpoint the source, but its recommend that the letting agent/property owner should investigate and remedy.

The location

The fowl smell there is obviously something wrong with the drainage from the bathroom/ toilet area on the first floor which can also be smelt down the staircase to the living area, we purchased air fresheners but unfortunately it made no difference at all to the smell.. very unpleasant . The courtyard at the rear of the property looked unkept very overgrown with weeds, not enough seats if you were a group of 4+ and no seat cushions which would have made it more comfortable and one chair was broken.
