About this house rental
Lovingly restored old estate surrounded by beautiful nature, ideal for a family vacation. Villa Denis consists of four characterful stone houses offering complete privacy and relaxation.
The first house with light green shutters has a large living, dining and kitchen area, as well as a double bedroom with private bathroom on the first floor. 3 further double bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, are on the upper floor.
The 2nd house with dark green shutters has a dining and kitchen area on the first floor, as well as 1 double bedroom and 1 twin bedroom with a shared bathroom on the upper floor.
The 3rd house with blue shutters has 1 double bedroom and 1 twin bedroom on the first floor with a shared bathroom. Upstairs is another living, dining and kitchen area with direct access to the lounge terrace.
In the 4th house with red shutters, there is a games room and a fitness room on the first floor, as well as a guest WC. 2 double bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom, are upstairs and 2 further double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms (one with an additional single bed) are in the attic.
Outside you will find an enticing infinity pool, beautiful garden, large outdoor dining area and kitchen with barbecue. While enjoying carefree views of the surrounding centuries-old forests, your children can have fun on their own playground.The villa is located in the ancient town of Buzet in northern Istria, close to the border with Slovenia. Its medieval town center is situated on a hill above the fertile valley of the longest river in Istria, the Mirna.
Today, Buzet is widely known as the town of truffles, as the forests along the Mirna are particularly rich in these wonderful tubers. According to some, the white truffles of Istria are comparable to the white truffles of the famous truffle region of Alba in Italy. The famous truffle festival is held every year in September and October in their honor.
On the second weekend in September, there is a very special attraction in Buzet - a gigantic omelette (also known as a fritada). Over 2000 eggs and 10 kg of truffles are cooked in a huge pan. This event marks the official start of the truffle season.
There are several well-preserved medieval towns in the area around Buzet.
