Durham Castle, University of Durham

The breakfast very good and its location in the main castle hall. Staying in a castle and being able to cross the green to access the cathedral. The accommodation was typical student being part of the university. Short walk to shops and river.

Access with the cases due cobblestones and stairway was difficult.

Das Hotel war so unfassbar cool! Man konnte nach schließen der Burg im Innenhof herumlaufen. Die Burg und die Kathedrale nebenan waren wunderschön beleuchtet. Ein paar Meter gehen und man war direkt in der Innenstadt. Das Frühstück fand in einer Great Hall statt, das gab einen ein richtiges Harry Potter Gefühl und das Frühstück war lecker! Das Zimmer war oke, man hat für das drumherum bezahlt.

The location and historic building are great It was wonderful to have breakfast in the Great Hall which has been in use for meals for centuries

I had to ask for extra tea and milk as not replenished daily but receptionist helpful and sorted it. We were warned there were lots of stairs but they were flat and not too step with handrails so ok if taken at steady pace

The location and the breakfast were excellent.

Better ventilation in the shower pod to remove excess moisture after use (within 24h!)
