It's a quite place to have a rest, the porters are nice, and always willing to do their best to help. Kettle and Yorkshire tea bags in the room and the fridge in shared Kitchen as well. Iron is also provided.

Just when there's not many guests, some less popular portions of the breakfast would not be available suck as scrumbled eggs or vegetarian alternatives.

Great location, good breakfast, good welcome and helpful staff

Not all in one building -which wasn’t clear-but it wasn’t really a problem

The location of St Chad’s is excellent. We stayed in a building further up on North Bailey (I assume one of the furthest from the main building) and even then the location was great. Also the main college building and dining hall (used for breakfast) are beautiful.

The guest room (at least the one we stayed in) was clearly a student room being rented to visitors over the summer while the students are away. It had all the hallmarks of a student bedroom; the mattress and bedding were cheap, the furniture was mismatched, the en-suite needs attention as there is mould on the ceiling and paint chipping from the wall. The breakfast was fine, it was a standard cafeteria style breakfast. I don’t think the room we stayed in was worth the price of the stay (over £130 per night). It is clear the college are capitalising on the ‘college charm’, and while the main college building itself does have charm, charging this much for a well-used student room up the road is disingenuous.

The location is excellent but be aware that it is within the congestion charge zone and with nowhere to park. There is a multi storey car park within walking distance and outside the zone but not ideal if you have luggage.

The room was Spartan with no decor, limited space and a rather saggy mattress. It was in a terraced house along the road from the main building. It was directly on the road and on the ground floor so anyone chatting in the road was clearly heard. The biggest problem was the bells of the cathedral clock which chimed every quarter hour throughout the night. Not easy to sleep when the windows are open in summer.
