Very well done conversion, everything you need for a short stay

No door mat, it was wet and we left footprints! Mop and bucket supplied to clean up with, but a mat would stop the mess from being there at all. Patio doors opening into family garden so if the family were there you would probably want to keep the curtains closed for privacy.

This property is a lovely modern self contained unit with parking for one car nestled between two houses in a quiet residential area of Coldean in Brighton. There is an excellent shower and usb ports in the sockets and free WiFi. We were there for the marathon and a good job we arrived a day early as the provision for self catering was not great with only one small pan and as the runner needed a large pasta meal there would have been no way to cook it. The mattress on the small double bed was also very uncomfortable and sank badly in the middle. One of us had to sleep on the couch. However, the owner was very quick to respond and very apologetic as no one had complained before. He provided a new extra duvet for the couch sleeper and large pans for cooking. We requested compensation for the inconveniences and after some negotiation received a modest refund, we suggested the equivalent of one nights stay which we didn’t think was unreasonable.
