Stay in Artist’s Gallery

The apartment is handily located for tram and various bus services with stops all within a 5 minute walk. There are a selection of supermarkets, bakery and restaurants within a 5 to 10 minute walk too. There is a view of a beautiful church tower from the window. The owner is very meticulous with his cleaning. It was very handy to have a washing machine with a rapid wash as I was visiting to play sport and needed to wash my kit. There was also a clothes airer supplied. There is a fridge freezer, microwave and oven all kept very clean. A fan is also provided for each room which was essential use during our stay as it was very hot. Sheets and towels were provided and replaced during our stay. Antwerp is definitely worth a visit with a range of interesting historic buildings. The owner was helpful when we had any questions.

Whilst there is cutlery, plates, bowls, glasses and pans there are no extras such as sharp knives or scissors or other gadgets you may expect in a kitchen. It is fine for basic cooking requirements but not if you wanted to bake or peel vegetables etc. The apartment is situated on the 3rd (top floor) of an old town house. It got hotter as we climbed the stairs and took a while to cool down - I should explain that we stayed during a very hot period of summer weather. The two rooms are separate at the top of the stairs and are accessed independently with separate keys - this is not necessarily a problem but worth being aware of in case you thought you had booked one separate apartment from the rest of the house. The light in the bathroom works on a movement sensor and regularly went off if you stood too still in the shower!

Great location, beautiful space, comfortable bed. Great amenities. Overall really nice space to stay in. Place was very clean and well kept. Felt safe and cozy. Super welcoming host as well.

I have very little complaints about this place. But I would say the Wifi doesn’t really work very well. Especially next door where the TV is. It’s pretty hit or miss. The other thing is that the building is very echoey so you can hear lots and people can probably hear you as well. But it wasn’t an issue at all. Just something to keep in mind if booking.

Mooi gebouw met ruim en schoon appartement op een uitstekende locatie. Heel netjes!! Zal dit zo weer booken bij een volgende overnachting in Antwerpen. Aanrader. Genoeg spullen in keuken. Goede, grote koelkast en een grote televisie aan de wand. Goede, neerklapbare slaapbank. Rustig appartement.

Deur naar appartement kon niet op slot. Zag dit al in eerdere review. Eenvoudig op te lossen. Had al gedaan kunnen zijn. Slaapkamer en woonkamer zijn van elkaar gescheiden door openbaar trappenhuis, maar appartement ligt wel alleen op bovenste verdieping. Maar als personen die in woonkamer slapen op slaapbank naar de WC moeten, dan moet dat via de overloop van het trappenhuis en de slaapkamer.
