On top of that, it's surrounded by 200 acres of protected wetlands and serves as a sanctuary for birds and wildlife, providing a tranquil backdrop for your stay.
Guests can enjoy access to a range of amenities within the Bethany Bay Resort Community, including an outdoor pool (available 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. from Memorial Day through Labor Day), tennis, basketball, and volleyball courts, as well as a playground and a nine-hole, par-three golf course (guests do not have access to the fitness center).
Inside the condo, you'll find a welcoming living space with comfortable furniture and a smart TV (no cable) to watch your favorite streaming services (guests must use their own login credentials). Group chefs can happily take advantage of the well-equipped kitchen and its modern appliances to whip up hearty meals for all to enjoy. After tasty meals, indulge in the bay views from the furnished balcony. We had a wonderful stay at this townhouse. The grounds were beautifully maintained and gave off an idyllic, peaceful vibe. The home itself was spacious, spotless, and well laid out for a large group—each bedroom had its own private bathroom, which was a huge plus. We really appreciated the family-friendly amenities, including the pool, hot tub, toddler pool, golf, basketball, volleyball, and more. The home had helpful basics like a washer and dryer, dishwasher, and a small starter kit with dishwasher and dish soap, and more.There were a few things that could make the stay even better: a later checkout option would be appreciated, especially for families with younger kids; the trash bags provided were a little flimsy and ripped easily—thicker bags would be helpful; offering a high chair and blackout curtains (especially for sunrise-facing rooms) would go a long way for families with kids. Clearer instructions on where to find the beach chairs and umbrellas would be helpful—we never did locate them. Also, the hot water ran out quickly if more than 2-3 people showered back-to-back.One unfortunate note: as we were leaving, the cleaning staff arrived and was noticeably unfriendly despite our warm greeting; she did not return our hellos. This stood out compared to the otherwise friendly community vibe.Overall, this was a lovely place to stay. The location was peaceful with great amenities, and the beach was about a 16-minute drive away.

The place is very nice and is close enough to everything for a beach trip. It’s also far enough off the beaten path to feel relaxing. No TVs in bedrooms is a minor issue but plenty to spend time on when the weather is nice. Pool at the community was very nice, a bit busy but to be expected during the summer. Basketball, pickleball, golf, hiking, kayaking all right there as well! We only made it an extended weekend but highly recommend this place for larger groups!

Great House, Poor Management and Misleading ListingThe house itself was clean, comfortable, and with beautiful views of the marsh and bay. Unfortunately, the experience was affected by poor management and misleading information in the listing.There were limited supplies upon arrival (not even paper towels), which was a small inconvenience. More frustrating was the lack of access to key amenities. The listing advertised access to the pool and pickleball courts, but the required passes were missing. I contacted Vacasa four times in the first 24 hours and was told each time that someone would bring them “shortly.” No one ever did, and we stayed for three nights without access.Even more disappointing, the listing stated we could “explore the bay with the provided kayaks and stand-up paddleboards.” However, when we inquired, the management company told us they didn’t have any. Had we known that, we would have brought our own gear.We loved the home and the setting, but the lack of follow-through and inaccurate listing details significantly impacted our trip. If you're booking for the amenities, confirm everything in advance.
