I loved how unique this place is. It's a converted school and they've done a very nice job making the facilities and spaces useful for hostel guests. The staff were helpful and the amenities were great, in particular there was plenty of lounge and kitchen space. It's an easy walk to/from Magome, and I stayed here on my Nakasendo walk. The bed was a standard hostel style bunk bed with curtains, though I was the only one in my whole dorm due to it being the off-season so I happened to have the whole huge room to myself.
No major complaints! The only thing was the door to the dorm room kept getting stuck so I was locked out for a little bit until the staff could fix it.

We loved the fact that we could walk to the magomejyuku and the fact that the entire school was open to us. It felt so spacious. We also loved that we could shoot hoops at the gym. We had it all to our selves!

It was so cool to stay in an old school! The bedrooms were comfortable and ours even had a porch. It’s a bit outside of town but less than 10 mins from the bus stop. Lots of food for sale in the lobby area, including frozen foods since there aren’t many restaurants open past 5pm.
