The house was beautiful

They did not prepare for our arrival. It was a cold nIght and the heating was not on and the house was cold and the bedding was for summer not winter. The porch lights were not on and they assured us they would be knowing we were arriving late

Selby Cottage is a self contained self catering cottage for one couple in the heart of Katoomba. It is fairly new and very comfortable with a fabulous kitchen, large lounge area with wall mounted smart TV, a good sized bathroom/laundry and a reasonably sized bedroom. There is ducted air con and all windows are double glazed so it stayed nice and warm. The cottage is situated on Selby Lane and is very private and quiet. There is a driveway behind a gate for parking off street if desired. It is a great place to stay for a couple and is no more than 500 metres to Echo Point lookout and many scenic walking trails. We will definitely revisit.

Very quiet area and private. Recliner lounge was very inviting and comfortable to relax whilst watching Netflix etc. Super clean and the bedding was fresh and we slept soundly.

It would have been lovely to walk in to a warm house for immediate comfort. Instead we wee met with a cold house that took some time to heat up with the ducted aircon. Probably just us boomers, but we could not find the way to watch general TV channels! It always amazes me when Airbnb hosts do not provide a bit of fresh milk, (or even those horrid longlife satches), for their guests to have a decent cuppa on arrival. Something so small can add so much.
