Dogtown is a wonderful neighborhood within the city of St. Louis! My home is located within walking distance to Forest Park, and specifically the Saint Louis Zoo, voted the best free attraction in the US! Also within walking distance (about 1 minute) from many restaurants and pubs.
Getting Around:
The best way to get around is by car, with most highways nearby. You can also use the Metro link light rail system to access many major attractions.
St. Louis also has both UBER and Lyft available. You'll also see lots of Lime and Bird electric scooters throughout the city, so you can zoom wherever you'd like!

The house was great! It is in a good location for Forest Park activities with easy access to the I64 and I44. The neighborhood is very quiet and the house has a nice backyard patio. I needed to make a change to my reservation and the property management was very accommodating and easy to work with. I would highly recommend this house.

The house was wonderful. It was very clean, check-in was easy, and everything we needed was included. Neighborhood was very quiet. The only issue we had was with communication about the air conditioning. For that reason, I would really rate it a 4.8 but can’t do that with star system. The reason for the slight dip was because we could never get the air conditioner to work properly while we were there. It ran continuously, and loudly, but never got below 74, even during the night. When we would come in at end of day, it felt stuffy, and would be in the high 70’s. I texted VRBO repeatedly about it—they responded to my texts, but it would have been nice if they had offered to come check it for us when it was obvious the problem was not resolved. For the future, I would suggest they put detailed instructions about how to work the air and heat thermostat in the house. Other than the issue with getting help with the air conditioner, the house was wonderful, and we would like to stay there again.

We were in town for a wedding in South County. Staying at this property was perfect - so close to everything you could want to do or see in St. Louis. We went all over - the Hill, downtown, airport, Ted Drewes, South County, West County - and all less than 20 minute drive. Walking distance to Forest Park. The house is as described. It was impeccably clean and well stocked. The neighborhood was very quiet and safe. We did not use the back yard, but it looked very nice and well appointed. We had no problem with on street parking. The layout of the house is great and the common areas are much larger and nicer than we anticipated. The property manager was quick with replies and very helpful. I'll stay here again when I come to St. Louis. Very highly recommended.
