About this cabin rental
New Balsam is a new with 2 bedrooms that was built in 2024. This cabin has a large, fully equpped kitchen, a large, screened front porch on a quiet 46-acre lake with great fishing. This year-round cabin has on bedroom with a queen bed. The other bedroom has 2 sets of bunkbeds. New Balsams has a 3/4 bathroom with a commode, vanity, and shower. The cabin has large windows that open to catch the summer lake breeze from Little Sugarbush.
In addition to sitting on Little Sugarbush Lake, guests have seasonal access to motorboating on 294-acre Big Crooked Lake and the main swimming beach.
We're located in Lac du Flambeau, Wisconsin we are 6 hours from Chicago, 4 hours from the Twin Cities, 3 hours from Madison and 12 miles from Minocqua, Wisconsin.
New Balsams Cabin is great for families, couples or a gatherings of friends.
During the summer you can bring your own boat or use one of ours. No gas motors are allowed on Little Sugarbush but electric motors are welcome and can be attached to one of our provided rowboats.
Summer usage includes use of canoes, kayaks, rowboats, paddleboards and sailboats on a first come, first serve basis.
The fall leaf season is nothing short of spectacular! Stay with us and enjoy our scenery, trails and kayaks or use us as a base to explore some of the other fall foliage near us.
Our winter season includes the usage of our cross-country skis, snowshoes, ice skates, and unlimited use of our tubing hill. We are also close to some of the best snowmobile trails in Wisconsin. Ice fishing is generally very good.
New Balsams Cabin is part of YMCA Family Camp Nawakwa that will be celebrating our 100th anniversary in 2024. Our properties are designed for families, friends, couples or individuals who are looking for a quiet Northwoods experience.
