The overall stay was excellent. Communication from the host was prompt and helpful. Check in and check out processes were straightforward and enumerated well. The home itself is right on the main drag, but quiet, especially given the age of the building. It has all of the charms you might expect from a home/business that had been built in the mid 1800s.There were tons of places to sleep, including the whole third floor, a bedroom on the second level with the kitchen and living area, and multiple sleeping options on the first floor, which was also the main entertainment area. Our children very much enjoyed the shuffleboard, air, hockey, and the theater room. The hot tub and charming backyard area were lovely. The location is convenient to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, as well as other regional attractions. This is a great option for a family, or group of families, who want somewhere to stay that isn’t in the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor but still close enough to everything there is to do regionally.

This is the PERFECT house for a bigger group. We had 13 people (4 families) and we all had our own ample space in the house. Plenty of bathrooms. It was extremely well-equipped. The owners truly thought of everything for all age groups. We had a 19-month old all the way up to a 70 year old, and everyone had everything they needed. Very cute with tons of character. The best setting for our family vacation.

Very nicely and stylishly renovated old building. Gorgeous pond behind the property. Bathrooms are particularly well done. Comfortable beds. We stayed with 2 adults and 6 teens and it was perfect for this blend of ages. There is a hot tub and it worked very well. Location is ideal for a mix of time in the park, Bar Harbor and other adjacent areas. This property might be a challenge for families with older adults or very young children since there are a lot of steep stairs.
