About this house rental
Holiday home by the sea in Jennestad just north of the coastal town of Sortland. Great starting point for day trips around Vesterålen and Lofoten. Beautiful scenery for bike rides, bikes are available. The house was built in 1971. Bathroom renovated 2020. 3 bedrooms, two with a double bed and one with a bunk bed for 2. In the living room, there is a TV with the Norwegian channel NRK and a fireplace that provides good warmth on cold days. The house is surrounded by forest and located 100 m from the sea, some views of the beautiful coastal landscape to the north. Great location when the midnight sun shines in spring and summer, and in winter when the northern lights can be seen in all shades of color in the sky. The large living room windows provide close contact with nature. The plot is sunny and has a lawn in front of the house. Covered terrace where you can sit outside even on days with changing weather. By the sea you find Jennestad Handelssted, where trade has been conducted since 1830, today a museum and well worth visiting. 8 km to the coastal town of Sortland with shops and restaurants. A great starting point for day trips by car around to the many small fishing villages in Vesterålen and Lofoten. In the fishing village of Andenes, whale watching is an exciting experience for the whole family. Visit the old fishing village of Nyksund, which used to be one of the largest fishing villages in Vesterålen but was vacated in the 1970s. 4 bicycles for adults can be used. The house is located approx. 60 m from the road but secluded in the forest.

Spent a week here with friends and it was lovely! The living room was spacious and the fireplace made it super comfy on chill nights, We enjoyed bike rides around the area and the views were just breathtaking, A little far from some restaurants but worth it for the peace and quiet, Clean and tidy too, which is a big plus, Would def recommend!

A wonderful experience overall! The kids loved the bunk beds, and we appreciated the big living room for family game nights, The kitchen was well equipped, which made cooking our meals a breeze, A fantastic escape from the city!
