Hikers holiday home

La gentillesse de la famille vaut la peine de séjourner dans leur homestay ! Nuwera Eliya est en altitude donc il est normal qu’il fasse un peu froid et humide. Mais je n’ai pas eu froid cette nuit car une seconde couverture était disponible. Le logement est un peu excentré mais le fils est venu me chercher à la station de bus, il m’a déposé dans un restaurant local pour le déjeuner, est venu me récupérer le soir, et m’a conduit à la gare ce matin pour Ella. Il a même fait un détour à mon arrivée pour me faire visiter un temple bouddhiste situé en haut d’une colline. J’ai eu notamment du thé, des biscuits et une généreuse tartine beurre/confiture au petit déjeuner. J’ai pu aussi marcher au milieu des champs de thé juste à côté du logement, et il m’a donné des conseils sur quoi voir dans le coin. La chambre est propre. Ce sont des conditions de montagne, mais j’ai trouvé l’expérience dans cette famille formidable pour 1 nuit.

Host strepitoso, è venuto a prenderci dal centro città per portarci alla stanza. È stata una giornata piovosa e ci ha portato il tè con i biscotti. Ci ha sempre dato consigli e accompagnato con il suo tuk tuk per farci visitare le attrazioni principali. Questa mattina ci ha bussato la porta per lasciarci colazione. Siccome la zona è più fredda ci sono state date tante coperte, stufetta e phone. La vista è stupenda, la famiglia che ci ha ospitato è stata super gentile e disponibile e premurosa Super consigliato!

tea + biscuits the night we arrived, walking with us through the tea plantation, picking us up in his tuktuk, waking up at 4am to say goodbye to us, being flexible when we forgot to pay cash! overall eranga was a great host. The place was well cleaned and the view was spectacular too

The only thing was the bathroom, I would love to have one inside the property and it didn’t feel like a private bathroom. the locks were sometimes stuck

Ontzettend lieve en betrokken host. Hielp ook graag om je ergens naartoe te brengen of eten te verzorgen. Super mooi uitzicht over de theeplantages met zonsondergang. Hele goede prijs-kwaliteit verhouding. Zeker een aanrader!
