Magnolia Hideout

Nice place. Very clean and in a nice location with well equipped kitchen and lots of shared living space. Walking distance to town but worth getting a tuk tuk when you arrive with luggage as it’s up the hill. Madusanka was a very nice and helpful host. He recommended places to eat and helped arrange transport for us at a competitive rate. We would stay again if we returned to Nuwara Eliya.

The hosts were incredibly friendly and caring, with great communication. We had to change our travel plans mid trip and they made sure the changes to our vacation was effortless and genuinely enjoyable. We would definitely recommend!

The hotel is in a gorgeous house at the top of the hill with views all around. The room was very clean, warm and cozy. The bathroom was large and the bed comfy! I loved the common areas, there is about 4 different places to sit with chairs, sofas and tables with a view. You can also use the kitchen and Madu did some light washing for us. He was an amazing host, had some great chats, helped us with advice on what to do in Nuwara Eliya and made sure we had a heater etc in the room. He stays in the hotel full time to help out whenever you need and on WhatsApp but you definitely have your own space. It is only 5 minutes to town and Pickme works great otherwise. Lots of stuff to do in N.E and the weather is nice and cool.

The hill up to the hostel is steep to walk up, but only 5 minutes. We were fine walking up and down but if not tuk tuk is readily available.

Most beautiful house I stayed in all over Sri Lanka. Its very clean, smells good and has everything you need and beyond. Madusanka, is a friendly host, who helped us with everything. 10/10 would recommend this.
