Recently renovated, The View offers a truly special experience. Whether you're lounging in the sun-filled internal patio, enjoying a movie in the large TV room, or gathered around the 12-seater dining table, every corner of this house exudes comfort and sophistication. This home caters really well for large groups - there are ample seats at the dining table and in our casual entertaining areas, plus a huge oven, BBQ and fridge. You'll be very comfortable here!

Kingston Beach is 30 minutes drive from Hobart International Airport. It is a vibrant destination which is walkable from the house or just a short drive away. Immerse yourself in the local scene by exploring charming cafes and restaurants like Robbie Browns and Boho at the Beach, or indulge in fantastic all day cuisine at the renowned Zero81 Napoli restaurant. Don't forget to experience the live music Sundays at Salty Dog Hotel/pub – a true treat for music enthusiasts.

One of the distinguishing features of The View is the sheer size and number of rooms that offer panoramic views. It's an idyllic venue for wedding preparations or hosting a memorable indoor dinner party for up to 12 guests. Please note that The View is located up a steep drive and has 35 steps (8 of which are outside) spread across three levels. While this elevation may pose a challenge for some, it's this very feature that allows for the awe-inspiring views from almost every room. We kindly advise guests with mobility issues to take this into consideration.

With five stunning bedrooms, including a king master ensuite with unparalleled views on the top floor alongside a queen room with a sofa bed also boasting great vistas, The View will leave you feeling like you're on top of the world. Additional accommodations include a triple king single bunk bedroom and a cozy queen room overlooking the back deck area on the 1st floor, and a ground floor king bedroom with an ensuite and partial sea views. Please note, the bathroom for the queen room on the 2nd floor is on the 1st floor.

Prepare gourmet meals in the spacious kitchen/living area on the middle floor, where you can take in the surrounding beauty from the lounge area or the sunroom/internal patio.

The well-appointed kitchen boasts a large fridge with filtered water and a double Belling oven with induction cooktop. Indulge in a game of pool or enjoy the classic tunes of our working pianola while dining at the 12-seater table. For those who prefer alfresco dining, the outdoor BBQ kitchen accessible through the kitchen/dining area awaits you.

End your perfect day by unwinding in the TV/movie room on the top floor, equipped with a large flat-screen smart TV – the only one in the house.

Let The View be the backdrop to your dream wedding preparations, thanks to the expansive master suite and ensuite that provide ample space for bridal parties. We are a 10 minute drive from Villa Howden, a beautiful French inspired wedding venue.

Before booking, please familiarize yourself with our house rules. They are strict to prevent parties, noise and smoking in and around the property. Fines as well as additional costs are applied in the event these are breached.

A reminder that guests with mobility issues will likely find this property challenging to navigate.

Additional Information:

Access to the house is via a steep drive and electronic key pad on the front door. The number of cars in the driveway is limited to 3 at any one time - to enable turning space and to ensure car doors don't swing wide on to other cars.

If you wish to avoid the first flight of stairs in the house, alternative access to the middle floor is via the sloped side entrance accessible through a child proof gate.

Many of our guests are from interstate or international locations - if this is you and you need changes to check in and out times to match your flight arrival and departure, please ask since we can usually accommodate them.

Property is on a main road which gets busy during commuting hours.

Guests can use all spaces except the garage and any rooms/spaces labelled as 'no entry'.

No parties and functions - respectful, neighbourhood friendly couples and family guests only. Catered indoor dining events for up to 12 people excepted.

Please note, we have motion only recording cameras situated over the public access parts of the front doorway and driveway. We also have a noise decibel (set to 95 db), smoking and occupancy monitoring system installed in the kitchen area to ensure house rules are adhered to and to protect noise levels.

In place of an iron, there is a garment steamer. An iron can be provided by arrangement.
