It’s close to the bus for the national park. The room itself has a fire place which is really nice.

The breakfast buffet was okay, food wasn’t overly hot. The only really restaurant option is the tavern which gets a bit old after a few days. Also, be prepared for long long waits for food when busy. The linen on the bed is a bit rough as well.

The accommodation itself was good. The bed was comfy, though a spider walked across it a few moments after we arrived! The gas fire was great. Easy to use and warmed the room beautifully. Lovely location. Too many disappointments with service though to offer a good review.

Ive got to say, a lovely breakfast buffet was one of the things I was most looking forward to, hence I paid the extra because breakfast (not cheap) was not included. So heres my review. Limit of one barista coffee per person at breakfast, otherwise, self serve instant. How about a pot of coffee? Tea bags at breakfast were the horrid plastic triangles wrapped in more plastic/foil. How about providing a pot of tea. These are breakfast essentials. Only scrambled eggs were offered. No fried or poached, until I specifically requested some. Also a breakfast essential. No staff looked or sounded particularly happy. All looked a bit bored. Also waiting/ queuing to go into breakfast was not appreciated especially when you're asked to elect a time for breakfast, and you're on time. The bistro for evening meal did not have enough seats or spaces for the number of patrons. We had to order takeaway while waiting for a seat. We communicated clearly our intention to be seated and said we were happy to wait. When a seat became available after approx 35 mins, we told front of house that we now had a seat, and gave them the table number, but our order was still presented to us in cardboard takeaway containers. It was two $45 steaks piled on top of the salad... wilted of course. Also the first meal I had chosen from the menu was not available. The dine in restaurant option which you have to book into was almost empty both nights. Its quite expensive, and limited selection. Why have so much empty restaurant space when you can't cater adequately for the number of bistro patrons you have on a weekday winter evening. Must be awful on a really busy night.
