Lovely apartment in a pretty town

A lovely little apartment in a beautiful location. Check-in was simple (there is a key box), and the host is friendly and contactable via WhatsApp. The beds were very comfortable and the bedrooms quiet (at the back of the apartment, away from street noise). There's no outside space, but there is a very pretty view of the town and surrounding mountains from the living room. Be aware that there is a steep climb from the station if arriving by train with luggage, as the apartment is situated towards the top of the village, but this is what gives it the great views, and it is super convenient for all the local amenities (shops, bars, restaurants, swimming pool). Easy to reach from Malaga airport by train (C1 and then C2 commuter line).

An affordable and comfortable apartment located near bars, restaurants, and coffee shops - excellent location for the Ca

The apartment had excellent facilities; refrigerator/freezer, nice laundry area as you enter, bedroom in the back away from street noise, and a comfortable TV room . The host left a bottle of Tempranillo for us -it was excellent! Thank you very much. The apartment is a short walk to the main street where there are coffee shops, restaurants and bars. If you are interested in visiting the Arab fortress it is about a 20-25 minute walk away. Alora is a hill town, so expect some fairly steep up and down streets as you walk around. We had an excellent dinner at Casa Abilio. Also, the friendly proprietor at a local coffee shop not far from the apartment,, Bar Casa Pinto, had us sample some excellent local olive oil. We had a car for our trip. The streets in Alora are tight and steep. Parking is across the street , but if the first lot is full, then you have to go further up the hill to find a place. It was no problem for us because we pack light. But, if you have heavy luggage it may be a challenge. Alora is a good staging town if you plan to visit the Camanito del Rey. It’s about an hours drive through some windy roads. The Camanito del Rey was a real highlight of our trip!

A wonderful stay in a cozy home with a great location and a helpful host.

Perfect location, just 20 minutes from Caminito del Rey via a beautiful road drive. The house is cozy, with 3 bedrooms, AC, a well-equipped kitchen, and a comfy living room. Parking was easy and close by. The host was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Would definitely come back!

De inrichting

De verplicht in te vullen registratiemail kwam pas om 17u op de overnachtingsdag, zodat we dit nog op straat moesten invullen voor we de toegangscode kregen. Bij andere slaapplekken konden we rustig dit de dag(en) ervoor doen.

Caminito del Rey

La casa è pulita e gradevole alla vista, adatta a 3 persone, in 4 ci si sta un po’ stretti. Per una notte e’ andata comunque benissimo.

La casa ha una sola finestra e risulta di conseguenza un po’ buia e claustrofobica. Avrei gradito un po’ più di assistenza da parte dell’host al nostro arrivo, capisco che non fosse possibile fare un check in anticipato ma addirittura non fornirci l’indirizzo dell’appartamento per evitare che andassimo lì mi è sembrato di cattivo gusto.

Las camas son muy cómodas y la limpieza muy buena. Nos dejaron unas bebidas en el frigo y cápsulas de café, azucarillos, infusiones... El anfitrión muy atento.

La TV de la habitación no sintonizaba bien, pero realmente no la necesitábamos...

Una casita muy cuqui y con mucho encanto

.Nos encantó la casa!! Está muy bien situada, en una zona tranquila pero cerca de todo. Es muy cómoda y no le faltaba ningún detalle. Todo estaba limpísimo y el propietario fue encantador y muy atento con nosotros. Nos sentimos como en casa. Sin duda, repetiríamos encantados.

Decepcionante

El pueblo es agradable y ofrece un entorno pintoresco. El procedimiento de recepción, con el sistema de recogida y entrega de llaves mediante un cajetín, resulta muy práctico. Las sábanas estaban limpias y el salón (la tercera habitación del alojamiento) es acogedor, con la única ventana del inmueble y algunos juegos de mesa que fueron un buen detalle.

La lavadora estaba sucia y no se proporcionaba detergente, por lo que era necesario llevar el propio. La cocina presentaba una limpieza deficiente: vajilla sucia con algunas piezas manchadas, estanterías con polvo y grasa, un hervidor oxidado inutilizable, y el papel de cocina sucio y manchado. El baño tenía mal olor incluso después de limpiarlo; encontramos rollos de papel higiénico ya empezados, utilizados por huéspedes anteriores. y no había toallas de baño grandes, las cuales solicitamos y no recibimos hasta dos días después, justo antes de nuestra partida. Las dos habitaciones principales carecen de luz natural y no pueden ventilarse, ya que no tienen ventanas, lo que produce una sensación de agobio. Las almohadas eran incómodas y el único armario de la casa estaba cerrado con llave. En cuanto a la ubicación, el alojamiento está en la cima de una montaña, accesible solo por una calle estrecha de sentido único de aproximadamente 2m de ancho, lo que dificulta mucho la llegada y salida con el equipaje. El aparcamiento cercano es muy limitado y casi siempre está saturado, obligando a dejar el coche lejos, en zonas sin iluminación ni seguridad. Nota final: demasiada decoración no significa confort, y abusar de difusores de aroma no es sinónimo de limpieza; en un espacio tan pequeño, el olor resultaba demasiado fuerte.

Perfect stay in Álora! 🏡💚

La comunicación fue fluida, nos dejaron una botellita de vino, agua y cerveza para la llegada. Y pudimos salir 30’ después de la hora prevista.

Muy recomendable.

El alojamiento perfecto. cumplió la expectativas y todo muy limpio y ordenado, totalmente recomendable. El propietario atento en todo momento desde la llegada para hacer el check-in y al dia siguiente contacto con nosotros para ver si todo estaba a nuestro gusto. Le pedí recomendaciones para comer por la zona y nos dio varias opciones que estuvieron muy bien.

departamento agradable

departamento esta a 100 metros del centro. muy completo aunque la disposición es extraña. al entrar esta el lavadero luego un vestibulo y mis hijos durmieron en el living que oficia de dormitorio. no es nada grave solo extraño . el anfitrion siempre dispuesto. la propiedad tiene escaleras que dificultan un poco si uno tiene problemas de movilidad o mucho equipaje. el resto muy bien. gracias

Klein, aber fein!

Sehr schönes Haus, zentral gelegen und mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht. Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt! Der Kontakt zur Besitzerin war sehr gut und auf deutsch oder spanisch möglich. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Хороший ремонт, очень чисто, шкафов было достаточно,на кухне было все необходимое( техника, салфетки, приправы, чай, кофе, сахар). Здорово,что работал кондиционер. На столе стояло вино для нас, а в холодильнике вода и пиво ( с алкоголем и без). Кровать была комфортная для сна.Телевизор в каждой комнате. В ванной были даже средства для душа.

Кухня очень компактная, некомфортно готовить, не было рабочей поверхности, даже мытую посуду некуда было поставить. Жаль, что не было посудомойки. В спальне низкий потолок,немного некомфортно. В другой комнате не было окна. Был обеденный стол,но не хватало стульев. Для семьи из 4х человек нам показалось тесновато, но на 1-2 ночи отличный вариант.
