We were attending Alora for my fathers funeral the house was central easy to find and eceptionally clean

A perfect property in an excellent central location for exploring Alora.

A great property in a perfect location in the centre of Alora, which is great for exploring the town and surrounding area. Although very central it is a very quiet location. The house has plenty of room & having 3 bathrooms & bedrooms was perfect for us. And the roof terrace with spectacular views of the town, the castle and the surrounding countryside was the best part. The owners were very helpful and responsive to questions and check in was simple. A visit to Caminito del Rey is recommended and 2 of us used the local buses to get there and back. We had a wonderful week in Alora.

Lovely spacious town house in central location.

Very spacious well equipped town house in a central location. The bedrooms are at different ends of the house so it was very private. Roof terrace was lovely in the evening. We would certainly stay here again.

Parking can be a challenge, although we dropped off our bags and found a parking spot 5 minutes away and left our car for the duration of our stay. Stairs are quite steep so not suitable for anyone of reduced mobility, although there are handrails.

lovely house perfectly located in the village! we loved the open space/outdoor space where we had all our meals.

good to know is that roades in Alora are very narrow and steep. I recommend to use the parning lot in the edgrs of the city and walk to the house.

Excellent location within the village. Close to shops, cafes, bars and transport. The house has been reformed and decorated to a high standard. and has a ovely view of the castle.

Perfect Townhouse Centrally Located - Loved It!

The house was perfect for us. We were contacted by the property owners before we arrived giving us instructions and directions to the house. We were met on arrival and shown around the house along with the free WiFi and lockbox codes. there was also a small welcome pack of bread, water, coffee etc which was a nice touch. The house was very spacious if a little quirky in terms of the layout which suggested it was probably 2 houses converted into one with a central courtyard area which is now undercover - this assisted the natural light within the property which is not normally associated with Spanish townhouses. The house was set over 3 floors with the living space on the ground floor, bedrooms on the 1st and a seated patio area on the 3rd which opened onto a veranda with stunning views of the town and castle. There was also a sink and fridge in this area which made it ideal for small get together without the need to go up and down the stairs all the time - perfect for BBQ's. The beds were super comfy - best bed i have ever slept in apart from my own! The area was quiet so a good night's sleep was had even with the windows open and that is saying something as anyone who has stayed in Alora before will know the cockerels are very early risers! The house was immaculately clean and tidy and the shower was amazing. The WiFi was free and fast (which shut the kids up immediately) and the TV had Netflix pre-loaded. There were only local Spanish channels on the TV but that was not an issue. The couch was massive and comfortable. The location of the house was perfect - right in the middle of the town close to the main squares and several eating / drinking establishments within 2 minutes' walk. Very easy to find just off the main street. All in all we loved this house and many thanks to the owners for letting us have the pleasure of staying there. We will be back.

Nothing really - if i had to pick fault it would be that there is little to no on street parking (which didn't affect us as we were not driving) so you would park at your own peril. Plus it's on a rather steep hill with poor paving and road which could be an issue in bad weather. If you are not sure of foot or struggle to climb hills, then firstly why have you gone to Alora as it is built on the side of a mountain? and secondly this may not be the house for you. The door lock was also a bit tricky to operate (got easier with practice) and a 2nd key would be beneficial.

Excellent place to stay.

Very spacious and comfortable house. The host were very friendly and flexible. The roof terrace is a real winner with beautiful views of Álora and its castle. Easy distance to El Caminito del Rey.

Amazing townhouse in a wonderful location close to restaurants and bars etc. Communication with hosts was excellent. House was very clean and the facilities were as described. The house is a quirky mix of old and new areas, with the most amazing roof terrace area. Fabulous location for exploring the local area and the Caminito Del Ray. Totally recommend both the house and the town!

It was at a perfect location, very easy to get around with public transportation and walking distance to awesome tapas bars, restaurants and a supermarket. It's very conveniently located and although it’s a lively town, with plenty of things to do the place is very quiet. The house looked exackly like on the pictures, nice decoration with lovely local touches, it was very clean and the beds very confortable, and has everything you need. The host was also very helpful since the beginning, and flexible with the check in /out times, and available at all times whenever I had any questions. She asked for the age of my children and when we arrived there was toys, books and games appropriated of their age, which was a nice surprise. She also prepared a cot, high chair and even a car seat! The whole place made us feel at ease. A very detailed and helpulf list of places to visit, restaurants, trekking and climbing routes, where to buy groceries etc. Can't leave without going to the "Caminito del Rey" or eating at "Casa Abílio" Totally recommend both the house and the town!

Parkeren lastig vlakbij. Wel gratis parkeren op 700 meter. Steil straatje. Met trappen. Geen sifon dus een geurtje in de badkamer. Een handdoek rook niet fris. Kitranden badkamer verouderd en losse douchekop.

Todo. La casa es espectacular. Cómoda, enorme y con todo lo necesario. Aparte de la comodidad de tener un baño por habitación tiene mucas estancias con todas las comodidades en especial la terraza donde puedes disponer de otro fregadero, frigorífico y barbacoa.
