La Mansarde Cauchoise - Centre ville - Au calme

Perfect location, in the city centre and everything was within 5/10 min walk. Plenty of restaurants, cafes and boulangerie down the street. The house is exactly like in the picture, very cozy, very clean, well organised and silent. It has a beautiful view on the roofs and the windows have obscurant curtains! It was a very pleasant stay, the hosts are very kind and responsive, check in was smooth, even if there is no sign that mention the apt, the hosts provide all the details to find the right door. Also they provided a free cot for our baby. There’s two/three narrow flights of stairs but honestly nothing dramatic, it is totally feasible. Just be careful: The floor is really crooked and the ceiling is steep so if you’re more than 165cm in some points you really have to watch your head. But I’d say this is clear from the pics.

Just a few minor things : The front door is very dirty, which is a pity because once you enter it the apt is wonderful and clean. When you leave you have to wash your dishes ( pretty fair) and dispose of the garbage. It’s the first time I have to do this and I think it should be mentioned in the booking conditions. Last thing that seems to be a French peculiarity: double beds are always smaller than expected ( like 140cm wide I guess), and every host in France will text you in French, whether you speak it or not. I do understand maybe the 60% but to be sure of the remaining 40% I always needed a back and forth with google translate. Not a big deal but also not immediate communication for me.
