Charming Room in Capitol Hill - Foxglove Inn Rm 6

Close to light rail station, easily walkable so we didn’t need to use our car very much. Good parking, even if it does cost extra. The old house is beautiful, rooms have been made cosmetically pleasing.

The stairs to the third floor are narrow and very hard to navigate when you’re carrying bags/luggage. It was unusually warm while we were there and the portable air conditioner didn’t do much until it was cool enough at night to open the window. There was no escaping the heat in the middle of the day. The shared kitchen facilities are not great. It was like living with a bunch of college roommates again. There were no forks to be found, no glasses that were suitable for wine (I used the coffee cups), little distinction between clean and dirty dishes, and the refrigerators were not in great working order and filled with old, left behind food. Someone really should go through there on a weekly basis and clean out the fridge, run the dishwasher, replenish the basic supplies, and make sure everything is still in working order.

Everything was clearly labeled and instructions were clearly communicated.

The location and security of the property was the best. Very clean and neat and a very easy check in which I appreciated.

Not a dislike per se but I’d like to come back and maybe stay on a lower floor. I loved my room but I packed a lot and going up the stairs was a little hard.
