Central, spacious and bright 2-bedroom apartment By Estio Comfort Living

The apt is indeed a modern and spacious apt, well suited for 4 people. The main attraction is the location right in the center of Herakilon. Morosini Fountain is just a 5min walk The bar next to the main bedroom has closed, so we had no noise whatsoever. The beds are good and the apt itself is as it says spacious. There is a good parking garage Iraklio center parking - valet parking as with most - nearby at 15 euro a day If you pay upfront you can go in and out 24h a day (there are others also in the same walking distance) There is a big terrace of the main bedroom That is also where you can dry your clothes after washing them The owner is always just a text away and can come over in short notice when needed. One nice detail is that there is an ironing board with an iron and demineralized water. So you can pack light and wash your clothes and iron them to look sharp again. I would say that even though there is a stairs of about 15 steps, the apt is well suited for people with kids.

The main two issues are the 'situation' with the shower and that there is no dishwasher. Even though we did not use the kitchen much - I am not sure if you can prep a full meal there - I did miss being able to just putting everything in a dishwasher and switching it on. This is not unique to this apt: the second apt we rented this trip also did not have one. Another challenge can be showering. There was not a separate shower, but a showerhead in a bathtub (with no drain block, so you can not use it as a bath) Getting in and out of the tub was a challenge at times. And so was holding the showerhead in your hand the whole time. The big terrace of the main bedroom at times has pigeons As said, the bar next to it has closed, so noise was not a problem for us. The streets in the center can be narrow, especially those close to the apt So get the smallest car you can, use an automatic and preferably one that is pre-dented :P Get full insurance as there is a good chance you will hit something :)

Noisey at night. Limited insulation from outside noise through windows but you are in the city.

It was clean, spacious, had everything we needed. Close to everything within walking distant. Owner was super friendly and helped carry all our bags up to the apartment. Highly recommended.

Très bel appartement bien situé, les chambres sont spacieuses, les terrasses sont superbes. Le propriétaire répond rapidement et est compréhensif.

Un bar bruyant ferme à 5h du matin, on ne s’entend plus sur la terrasse en soirée. Même s’il y a un effort d’isolation, la chambre est très exposée à ce bruit. Manque d’équipements qui rendent les choses difficiles si on cuisine : pas de torchons, de quoi balayer, ou nettoyer si nécessaire
