Unforgettable attic with balcony in Borjomi

The host Natia was charming and very hepful, greeting me with home baked pastries when I arrived. The attic - more of spacious alpine-like loft had a huge bed (probably king-sized rather than double), kitchen bar, ensuite and balcony overlooking the old town. It's a short 10 minute walk to the river and the botanic park which contains the famous Tsar's pool. But it's a much steeper climb back up again!

This complaint is my own fault. I hadn't realised this is a self contained AirBnB, rather than a guest house. And Natia only takes cash, not card. This caused a problem (mainly through mistranslation!) when I arrived much later than expected after a tiring drive to the mountains. But I was able to arrange to pay Natia the the Georgian cash after visiting an ATM the next morning. The other thing I should warn visitors about is that it's pretty hard to find through the narrow twisting streets. But this might just be a failure of Google Maps.

Cozy attic apartment. Beautiful views from the balcony. I couldn't stop staring out the window! Clean and spacious. Parking available for my car. Easy to walk into town. There is a staircase on a nearby street that leads you right down into town. I didn't have to walk up/down any hills like some other reviews mentioned. The weather was cold, but the apartment was nice and warm. Shower was hot with good water pressure. Natia provided helpful information for exploring the region and for how to find the house. Also, if you use Maps.Me instead of google maps, the apartment is actually listed on there and will navigate you right to it. My favorite part about the apartment was Natia's mother, Laura, who lives on the property. She was so kind and generous and even cooked me food. She will be one of my happy memories from my time in Georgia and I feel like I've made a new friend :). I didn't want to leave!

Wifi was a little slow but I was still able to get work done ok. Mostly download speed, upload was pretty fast though. The bathroom had a smell in it but I kept the window cracked which helped air it out. These were small things compared to everything wonderful about the place though.
