Maison Olea

Very central location, within walking distance of the main sights in Marseille. Beautiful house, with all decoration and design carefully thought through (with lovely touches of Marseille and Provence), and a charming private courtyard which provides a little bit of nature and calm within the hustle and bustle of the city. Sophie is a fantastic host who goes above and beyond to make the stay as comfortable as possible, including providing excellent tips for how to best spend your time in the city or surrounding area (e.g., the Calanques). The breakfast in particular is exceptional. We would highly recommend staying here!

Nothing major to note. We stayed at Maison Olea during a heatwave meaning that the room was rather hot, but fans are provided.

Die Unterkunft und auch die Gastgeberin ist ganz herzallerliebst. Alles ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön und sauber. Die Farben wirken dabei beruhigend. Das Frühstück war sehr gut.

Leider war es bei unserem Besuch sehr heiß. Der vorhandene Ventilator konnte die im Raum stehende Luft kaum zirkulieren . Man musste dazu die Fenster öffnen. Leider war das Zimmer zur dauerhaft sehr laut befahrenen Straße ausgerichtet. Demnach empfanden wir das unfassbar laut. Wir haben daher kaum in den Schlaf gefunden.

Die Lage war toll, die Unterkunft ist mittig zu allen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Sophie unsere Gastgeberin ist großartig, wir saßen Nachts noch mit ihr in ihrem wunderschönen Innenhof. Sie ist sehr zuvorkommend. Das Zimmer ist Detailverliebt und stylisch eingerichtet. Tolle Dusche. Wenn ich einen Verbesserungsvorschlag hätte, wäre es eine Klimaanlage. Aber mit den 2 Ventilatoren im Zimmer sind wir auch gut über die Runde gekommen.

Beautifully looked after by our host Sophie. She met us late after a delayed journey. Gorgeous breakfast followed by a personalised guide to the city including recommendations, which we used and were excellent. Perfect Stay
