location was great for us since it was only 3 minutes from the train station. breakfast was good and the room was tastefully furnished.

check-in hours are not flexible. our flight only arrived at 22:30 and we were concerned we wouldn’t make it until 00:00. when asking the host, they were very strict about not checking in after midnight. this was quite stressful for us, especially because we were two young women alone in marseille, so it would have been very uncomfortable to not have an appartment (we wete only talking about 15 minutes here). however, it turned out fine because we made it before midnight. PLUS the room was really hot - i get that they don’t have an aircon since the house is really old but a ventilator would have been great.

We were truly impressed by our host, the apartment, and its welcoming atmosphere. Located right next to the train station, we were greeted by a beautiful, bright room with an enormous bathtub right in the room, which made our stay feel extra special. One of the highlights was stepping into the shared living area in the morning and being welcomed by the smell of freshly made pancakes and toast, lovingly prepared by the host. It was such a warm and thoughtful touch. Everything was spotless, cozy, and comfortable. On our departure day, we had to leave before breakfast, and the host kindly prepared cookies and juice for us to take on the road. It was a small gesture that made a big impression.

double room is advertised as having a patio: This is simply not true. Toilet is not en-suite. It was very cold because heating was not turned on because host wants to save money
