Heritage Hotel Chersin

Location was great just a short walk to harbour and beachfront The hotel were very good with messages and keeping us informed and even when they had an issue on our first night of stay they put us up in a hotel in the next street at their expense We were the only ones in the hotel and were pretty much left to our own devices but although that felt strange it was absolutely fine and we could help ourselves to coffee and what we needed for our comfort, as we were leaving early the next day they even left us pack ups of food/drink to take with us

Because we were staying out of season the restaurant was closed which was a bit of a shame but expected

The ladies working in the kitchen and the young waitress were genuinely kind and left a good impression, which was a rare positive during our stay.

The hotel initially seemed promising — a charming, rustic style in a nice setting with breakfast included. Unfortunately, our overall experience turned out to be disappointing. Cleanliness & Housekeeping Housekeeping was poorly managed. Rooms were only cleaned at one fixed time of the day, so if you were inside during that window, your room was simply skipped. This meant no fresh towels, no replenished toiletries, and in our case, only a single roll of toilet paper was ever provided. On one afternoon, the cleaning lady even unlocked our door and entered despite us shouting not to come in — only leaving after stepping inside, which felt like a serious lack of respect for privacy. Facilities & Comfort While the rustic décor may look appealing, in practice the old repainted doors and furniture are not functional. The restaurant smell travels into the rooms, leaving an unpleasant atmosphere. The smart TV in the room was so slow it was practically unusable. UNESCO heritage status or not, functionality and comfort are basic requirements, and heritage should not be used as an excuse for poor standards. Service & Communication Communication with staff felt more like forced politeness than genuine hospitality. That said, the ladies working in the kitchen and the young waitress were genuinely kind and left a good impression, which was a rare positive during our stay. Parking Parking was another major issue. At the time of booking, it was clearly advertised as free, but this changed later without any notice. Parking in front of the hotel is in the 1st zone (€30/day), and while the owner suggested parking 150m away, it still ended up costing €30 for the week. Other guests were also surprised by this. Overall Despite the nice appearance and a few kind staff members, the lack of basic functionality, poor housekeeping practices, unpleasant smells, and misleading parking information left us dissatisfied.

It was really perfect, from central yet quiet location to super nice and helpful staff. Room was spacious, beautifully designed and clean. Food was excellent and so was the ambience.

There was no single thing not to like.

Goran, his family, and the staff are all kind and wonderful people. The room is cozy, the hotel has an excellent location, and their restaurant is fantastic. This was our second time here, and we’ll be coming back again next year.

Great location Decent breakfast. Delicious croissants. Coffee machine a bit disappointed as it tasted like sugar in cappuccino

Bed was a bit hard Restaurant doesn’t open till end may/june No bar service ( asked for Aperol ) but still low season so limited supply Overcharged me for parking but gave me refunds when I asked

Beautiful place with soul, guesthouse run by the owners with great commitment. Very good location of the hotel, large and spacious rooms, very clean in the guesthouse. Breakfast with not much choice but very tasty! Good quality WiFi. Close to the sea, beautiful view from the window:) lovely location!

The guesthouse is located in a square surrounded by other buildings, when there is an event in the square it is very noisy. During our 5-day stay, unfortunately, not once were the towels changed.

Parking is not included

The staff were very welcoming and the owner took his time to help us find parking. Everyone was very helpful bus discrete. The room was very clean and had a beautiful Istrian authentic look.
