Studio calme et accueillant Metro Charonne

Very close to the metro which was very convenient. The owner is kind and helpful. Not much air circulation which made the floor sticky which the owner tried to remedy but it was not due to dirt so hard up do anything about. The apartment was clean. It was very hot while we were staying but the apartment stayed cool and was a refuge from the very hot weather so luckily lack of a through breeze or air con was not an issue.

I felt home the moment i entered the apartment! Also the communication with the hosts was so easy and amazing they answered all my questions so fast. The apartment is very big, clean and in a quiet area but great location! Directly in front of the metro. I wish i could live there forever

Generally speaking, I thought that the studio was very safe and calm, great to have a good sleep in silence. Doors are multiple and very heavy. So even a girl alone can feel quite safe. The staff is very present, English speaking and polite.

The moldy smell.. the darkness (no main light) and the very old bathroom are not something enjoyable I would say. The shower curtain was old... I think when the plastic is old and changes colour it is not so expensive to buy a new one for your own airbnb. The same was for the kitchen that I didn't even use. The sponge to wash dishes was so consumed that it was totally flat. I don't think it is so bad to spend a couple of euros to put a new kitchen sponge for every guest. But the real problem is the moldy smell and the fragrance they chose to cover it. It stuck on the clothes, on the hair, on my bags... It was impossible to change air properly. So the moldy smell remains constant. The staff provides for a fan in summer but it is not a substitute for a window in the bathroom or for a window near the bed with a web protection for bugs. It's clearly a place not for someone to live in. Maybe it was a storehouse, who knows but since it is almost underground, bad air, bugs (that I found and killed)and the bathroom should be something to definitely improve. Especially because the price set is in line with Paris small hotels so is not cheap either.
