Restaurants were excellent. Highly recommended scarpetta & jaleo. Service at restaurants was excellent. Very good location. Rooms are nicely decorated.

Service at check in was awful. The clerk who checked us in was rude and dismissive. He immediately asked if we wanted an upgrade and then put down our chosen room. He didn't explain that they were out of basic king rooms and left us waiting while he was on hold. He said our name into the phone and then stood there. After a while he said we could take 2 queens or he could continue to hold. I said we would prefer the king room that we booked. After a while, he hung up the phone and said we would have to take the 2 queen rooms. He never apologized, smiled or interacted with us in any way. He said he could take off resort fee or food/ beverage credit for taking the queen room. I chose to remove resort fee as I didn't want to mess with credits even though we had restaurant reservations on property. He then gave me a device to sign for my bill with no explanation.. The amount was greater than my quote. When he returned with my key, I had found my reservation quote and asked why I signed for much more than my original quote and I had already paid for one night. Only then, did he explain the property charged 450$ security deposit. The entire process was the least professional experience I have ever had in a hotel or resort. The room was fine. It was basic but nicely decorated. They took basic to a new level, though. There were no cups in the room and the pillows were made of chunks of foam. I have stayed at this property in the past. I will not choose it again. When I got the portfolio of the room charges- the resort fee was not removed. I was not surprised that the front desk clerk did not follow through with his promise.
