About this cabin rental
In terms of our accommodations, the living/dining/kitchen area of the cabin can be heated by the woodstove (instructions and firewood provided) or propane heat. There is a full refrigerator, full electric stove, counter space, and a sink (both hot and cold water). A table with four chairs for dining and two recliners allow you to relax after a long day enjoying the U.P. To really step back in time and feel like you are off grid, there are THREE free from air television stations and a bevy of movies to watch as the fire crackles. The bunk room features one king bed and two full bunk beds, sleeping six comfortably. The unique shower room gives privacy with a forty-gallon hot water heater, heat lamp, and propane heater for those chilly U.P. early mornings or late evenings. The insulated outhouse with a viewing window is one of the property’s most unique features to enjoy every day of your stay. This unique set up will be much appreciated in the morning! Hike our named trails, explore the stars with no ground light, watch the large variety of wildlife that pass through or calls the property home, grill dinner while you sit around the firepit and talk about the great day you had, or go to bed early in complete and total peaceful silence. A great experience awaits any and everyone at Camp Rock, whatever U.P adventure you seek!
NOTES: the farm has recently been selectively cut (Feb - May 2024), and had been replanted, so some areas can be seen but not walked through (very minimal). Also please note that while we give our best efforts, mosquitoes and flies can be a nuisance in the UP in the summer, so bring your spray and head nets for a nicer visit (especially when out walking the trails, where the mosquitoes are worse). Finally, the par-three 88 yard golf hole on the property is not quite completed, which you will see on your walks. It will not likely be playable until summer 2026 and we ask that while you may visit it on your stay, to kindly stay off the marked areas. We believe this will be a great little amenity for guests in the future and appreciate your stewardship of our land.
