This south-facing home is bathed in natural light. It features three stories plus a mezzanine and a fourth-floor balcony overlooking the magnificent Jacques-Cartier Valley. The house boasts numerous windows, terrazzo flooring, and a masonry fireplace. There is also a natural swimming pool in the backyard.
The living room is located on the top floor for optimal views and comfort. The master bedroom is on the main floor with a spacious ensuite bathroom. There is also a double sofa bed in the living room.
The nearest and only neighbor is about 300 meters from the house, so the area is very quiet! The exterior of the house is surrounded by a forest of very large, mature trees.
There is a fire pit with two picnic tables outside in an open area on the south side of the house. There is also a very large trampoline.
A 5-minute downhill walk leads to the Jacques-Cartier River, where you can often see whitewater rafts and kayaks. Fishing in the river is also permitted with a provincial license.
The 84-acre wooded property is accessible through the forest, from the river to the top of a mountain. Deer may occasionally be seen on the property.
Our house is located in a rural setting, in a wooded valley with a beautiful river (the Jacques-Cartier River).
There is a spa/massage center and a rafting and whitewater horseback riding company on our street, about 1 km from the house.
About 30 minutes north by car is a beautiful national park (Jacques-Cartier National Park) where you can enjoy many hiking trails, as well as whitewater rafting and kayaking.
A 15-minute drive away is Village Vacances Valcartier, a superb water park.
The town of Stoneham-et-Tewkesbury itself is a 15-minute drive away along a lovely, winding country road through the forest. The ski resort offers various trails for skiing in the summer.
