In the main square, Piazza della Loggia, there is a delightful 13th century loggia. Levanto boasts a particularly mild climate. The long sandy beach is ideal for all seaside activities. It is an excellent base for surfers, who come from all over Europe. Also on the beach, there is a swimming pool and a scuba diving center. In the summer there are many concerts and live music events. It is possible to participate in numerous tasting marathons. The area also boasts an excellent culinary tradition, thanks to the Cinque Terre wines and local fish recipes. Levanto is an excellent starting point for visiting the villages of the Cinque Terre, whether by train, by sea or by trying out excursions.
