The Salty Dog is Lagoon Front with a Private Pier and PRIVATE POOL! . 25 x 12, 6 ft. deep, 3 feet in the shallow end.
Allows up to 10 people (12 with 2 Queen sofa sleepers in the 4th lower level Suite) We allow up to 12 people without an extra fee. There is an additional fee if you exceed 12 people. A person is defined as anyone over the age of 2 years old.

This is not ultra modern with Granite counter tops and stainless appliances, The house is BEACH COMFORTABLE with Beach Themed Decor, You will NOT walk into the RITZ. If you feel the need to leave a review about the house being DATED, you will be directed back to this paragraph. All pictures and descriptions are current and detailed as of Spring, 2026. We Encourage (NOT REQUIRED) everyone to bring WATER SHOES if you plan to swim in the Gulf or the Lagoon. Shell and Crustaceans that are present can cut your feet if you walk on them. Please use caution by using water shoes during your stay.
Please be aware that we did remove the hot tub from public use. It is still there and we do have it for private use when we live there during winter months but it is NOT AVAILABLE for renters any longer. It has been drained and disconnected from Public use. Also, so there is no confusion, the entire ground level is considered a MASTER SUITE. You will walk into a living room and there are 2 pull out Queen Sofa Sleepers.

My family chose Gukf Shores and The Salty Dog as our vacation spot. It is located perfectly between The Little Lagoon (in your backyard) and the beach( two blocks away). The private pool was our attraction and we loved it! Upon arrival we had the most beautiful sunset from our deck!! The house felt like Grandma's house, cozy and comfortable. There was plenty of parking for our gang! The owner was wonderful communicating with me before during and after our stay. We loved it so much, we've booked again for next year. We are not pet owners, but this home welcomes pets. I am allergic to pet dander and was a bit apprehensive, but we had no issues. Be prepared for stairs... the joy of beach life!!

Ken (the owner) was super easy to communicate with and answered any and all of our questions. Accurate description of property. We had a total of 15 family members and were all able to fit in all rooms and couches. I would consider bringing additional blankets for large groups and possibly pillow toppers for bed mattresses only to make beds a little more comfortable for longer stays.
