About this house rental
Beautiful newer home located on the north shore of Lake Miltona that is perfect for a family getaway. Enjoy backyard bonfires while looking for shooting stars or walk down the yard to access the dock for lake fun. The rural location means the neighborhood and lake is less busy than other area lakes which makes for a relaxing vacation. However, it is just a short drive away from Alexandria for great shopping and dining. There are also 3 local wineries and 3 local breweries nearby.
Lake Miltona is shallow on the north shore with a sandy bottom which makes it perfect for kayaks, paddleboards, floats, and swimming. The house is a short 5-minute drive from the public launch if you want to bring a boat or rent one to snag that trophy fish.
If you're looking for other types of recreation nearby, there are multiple golf courses, trails for hiking and biking, as well as the Carlos State Park Lazy River for tubing (unsupported). In the winter, there are miles and miles of snowmobile trails and ice fishing.
The house has all the comforts of home, spectacular views from the main level, and a cozy fireplace for movies in the family room at night. It is also set up with fiber optic internet service in case you need a place to remote work.

Main level: Primary bedroom with blackout curtains, king sized bed and a full bath, well stocked kitchen, dining room and living room. There is also a reading nook with a futon.
Lower level: Three additional bedrooms all with blackout curtains (#1- Queen bed, #2- Double bed, #3 with 2 Twin beds and desk), bathroom with shower, family room with queen sleeper sofa, bar area and work area with desk as well as laundry in the lower level.
Parking available in the garage and driveway.
Gas grill on site
Access the backyard through the sliding glass door to find the firepit. We'll supply the firewood and marshmallow sticks for you.

The house was very nice and had all the room and amenities we needed. We were also able to bring our pets, which was really appreciated. Our host was very responsive and even provided a bottle of champagne for our celebration with family. The lake was beautiful and not deep near and around the dock area and we enjoyed swimming. The only things that could have made our stay better was if there had been a beach area for the kids to play in the sand and shade for the back yard patio area.

It was a newer property that was very welcoming, and a pleasant place to stay with family or a large group. It had a nice area to sit upstairs, and downstairs, if your group wants variety and extra space to gather. It had a beautiful view and was right on Lake Miltona, which is a rather large lake in my opinion. Abbie was a great host who made our stay welcoming, and she was available for a few questions we had throughout our stay.

Very comfortable cabin with everything you need. Wonderful, clear lake. Plenty of space to tie up our boat at the dock. Swimming and fishing were excellent.
