About this house rental
Welcome to the McCabe Cabin on Lake Henry. We call it a cabin, but with 6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and over 5000 square feet it really is more of a lake home. Whether you are looking for a place large enough to have a family reunion or someplace intimate enough for a small gathering the McCabe Cabin is the perfect choice.
We started renting it out to friends and family in the summer of 2008 and had such a positive response that we decided to expand it to off season and more specialized rentals such as scrap booking. This property was so lovely and had more than enough space for our ladies weekend (9 adult women). The neighborhood was quiet, safe, and beautiful. Everyone had comfortable beds, plenty of blankets and great pillows! The furnishings were comfortable. We ended up not using the sauna, but lovely space. Our group was fortunate to get incredible weather for mid-November and the fire pit was perfect!! Our group took a nice walk by the lake which was great! As for the kitchen.. this cabin is well stocked for serving large groups. Various crockpots, coffee pots, and cooking supplies available! Knives were sharp for food prep, 2 fridges made life easier and plenty of spices available. We did share the cabin with quite a few ladybugs, but that is to be expected and they were not bothersome. Also, the only bathroom on the main floor is inside the main floor bedroom, it worked out, but thought it would be helpful to note. Overall, great stay, clean home, and easy to work with host!!

Overall the stay was good. Property was nice and well kept. Clean and well furnished. Few minor issues, left message about them with property manager.
One big issue was pontoon- wasn't as advertised! It was a huge booking plus for us. When we arrived there was a note on the table . Stated that use at own risk-not guaranteed operational! Hasn't been licensed since 2021. Took out for test run-ran terrible, quit running 2x. Very misleading advertising. We would have brought our own if we had known
