About this house rental
This quiet private home is surrounded by trees and is less than 2 miles from downtown Alexandria and all its attractions including The Central Lakes Trail. There is everything you need to make your vacation enjoyable such as the 110' sandy beach, 2 - 10’ kayaks, large 300 square foot Trex deck facing the lake, a fire pit for sitting around enjoying the sunset, fireworks or a few S'mores and a hammock strung between two trees at the shoreline. There are 4 bedrooms (2 on each floor-4 beds are Queen size & there is 1 Twin XL roll away on each floor - 2 total - if needed), 2 full bathrooms (1 on each floor), a jacuzzi tub in the basement bathroom, 2 furnished kitchens (full kitchen on upper level & wet bar kitchenette on lower level), family room on both floors, formal dining room on both floors with tables able to seat at least 8 comfortably or 10+ with the available bench seats, a washer and dryer on each floor, high speed internet, HD LED TVs in both family rooms, an attached garage for use during your stay and a shed by the lake that houses kayaks, life vests, chairs, water toys, yard games and pretty much all you'll need to enjoy beautiful Lake Cowdry.
The beach is hard sand with a boulder lined shore. There is plenty of room to tie up your boat to our new aluminum dock using the affixed slip hooks. Fishing is great right off the dock given there's a drop off about 20' from the end of the aluminum dock where many locals fish regularly. You will love the beautiful sunsets from the deck, as you're enjoying a meal grilled on the Weber gas grill or from one of many fold up camping chairs down by the lake but the fire pit (fire wood not provided, but may be purchased at multiple locations in town 2-miles away). You can grill your food and sip on your favorite beverages while watching the calm, clear waters of Lake Cowdry. There is central A/C on the main floor and window unit A/C in the basement though it is rarely needed given the amount of shade our home gets and the many windows allowing for great cross ventilation.

An awesome home… accommodated everything we needed! Beautiful clear lake, fishing off the dock was so fun for the kiddos… our hosts were amazing we had ZERO issues and any questions we had were answered in a timely manner!!! We highly recommend it! Love that they had condiments on hand, toys for the kids kayaks, balls, many chairs to put around the fire!

Very nice! Comfortable, homey, and nice view of the lake. Would rent this house again when in the area. Owners are very easy to communicate with.
